Okay, Chapter 26.....I didn't know Sonia was in this mission, as, she doesn't greet you with a Bolting like the Valkyrie does. Also, Jaffar never talked to Nino, so, I didn't get 26x..... I also failed to get the Fell Contract. I suppose I can live without Jaffar and Nino, but, is it still possible to somehow get a Fell Contract, or, do I need to wait until my next playthrough? This is my first full time through. Before I only got through Lyn's chapters. So, sorry for being an idiot. Thanks for all the help. |

Going to have to get another playthrough, that's the only Fell Contract in the entire game. I'd be surprised if anyone was able to get Jaffar and Nino to talk to each other before the chapter ends on their first playthrough of a fire emblem game without a walkthrough. |

Hmm...Good, but, no Jaffar, I guess? A FAQ on G-FAQ's says that Jaffar is a new character in 27 if you didn't do 26x....But, it's down to 14 enemies left now, but, no Jaffar. Edit: Also, Jaffar started to go to Nino, but, he needed one more turn...Nino could've tlaked to him, but, she never did. |

You absolutely must talk to him with Nino to recruit him and get the sidequest. |

Hmm.....So, the secret shop is in chapter 30 up at the top right corner? I'd assume for 50k? |

In order to get Jaffar, I believe you must talk to and recruit Nino using your main Lord. (Eliwood, if it's your first play, I imagine). Then you must have Nino talk to Jaffar... he won't join immediately, but it unlocks the bonus chapter where you fight Sonia. Jaffar joins for this chapter, I believe. Sonia herself drops the Fell Contract to promote your thief of choice. You only get the one, so pick carefully =). Nino is worth recruiting anyway, since, if you do bother leveling her, she's a pretty awesome Sage. If not... have a free Elfire =P. If you haven't saved yet, you could try restarting the chapter and playing it over. (This is one reason why I wish FE allowed more save files... you can create backups for this kind of situation. Console FE's are better in that regard.) |

Matthew is the only one worth promoting because he can have insane offense and make Guy better. |

You didn't get 26x? I've done it every time I started a new file. Its almost felt like a normal chapter rather than a sidequest. BTW,if you don't get it, how does Sonia die? |

Is it that one-sided? I've heard arguments for both characters. Legault gets HHM bonuses, so he might be statistically superior in that case, and he has better Con than Matthew. (Can wield a Killing Edge without encumbrance, I think? That becomes inportant if you are promoting to Assassin). It seems like you could pick whichever one you prefer, really... heck, you might even level both of them, to some degree, because odds are one will cap at 20 before you even get a promotion item, forcing you to use the other to avoid wasting exp. |

On a first playthrough, I highly doubt anyone has built up supports with either of the thieves, or supports in general. Matthew is indeed the best ranked Assassin though...as far as Assassins are good (50k off your funds rank is a huge load even with Silver Card, don't underestimate it). Matthew with supports into account trumps Legault completely. His HHM bonuses don't even fix it. They're based off class growths, and the Thief class gets horrible bonuses. 0.25 Str or something, for example. Simply awful. Their con doesn't matter much - they'll double every single thing in the game before and after promotion because their Spd growths and bases are insane. Con is basically a worse Spd stat unless you're capping - but even a 20 Spd Matt/Legault will double those slow FE7 enemies. You don't need an Assassin per se though, especially not since you'll only have one for the final now. |

Heh.....It's...an interesting conversation. This is my first full playthrough, so, I had no idea there was a secret chapter. But, just to get this straight: The chapter with the secret shop with the Fell Contract is in chapter 30, the Chapter after Sands Of time, goes for 50k, and is in the upper right hand corner of the map between a few trees? |
