A unit's worth is indeed largely determined by stats, but I'd say that if Paladins have the best movement and weapon selection, all else that matters for how good their class is is stat caps, and those not very much so since they should only kick in at the end of the game. |

Makalov also has very good stats. He's got superior movement, by far, to Soren and Makalov, as well as access to swords and Axes, whereas Zihark is locked to swords (which are the worst weapons in the game - Can't get 2 range except with Magic Swords, and the weakest might when accuracy isn't a problem for really anyone) Soren is very good, but he's held back by his low movement. |

Marcia :I actually liked Marcia. It's just so hard to train her cause your gonna be up against a lot of axe users who can demolish her. I trained her besides Jill and had them both fly out. Eventually they both became huge staples in my final chapter team. Infact i used Marcia a little bit more because her speed would allow her to dodge more than Jill. Malakov: I tried using him on my second playthrough (the first one marcia died and i had astrid kill him) he is maybe the worst of the potential paladins because he just cant seem to kill anyone in one blow. Tormod: I think he's okay. In most of my plays he's better than Illyana and Cahill but Soren if trained can beat him, which at this point there is next to no way your Soren should be a lower level than Tormod. He does come with good ranks in all fields though. Sothe: Not very good ![]() Devdan: He's not terribly good either... Astrid: She is actually really good. If you didn't train Oscar or he died, she will be your best paladin. It is a problem recruiting her but the reward is very much worth it. |

Devdan among the bottom twelve? Seems kind of far-fetched to me. |

Who else would be there then? Besides, his long-term usage sucks. |

Lethe, bad? How? Lethe is awesome, with great bases and good growths. Gatrie > Devdan for earlygame usefulness. Edited by kirsche, Jun 9 2009, 01:48 AM.
