uhh, he's getting the pure water because by then, you have crazy amounts of money, so whether it costs something or not doesn't matter, hell, buy everyone the pure water, and, it isn't like you need him to attack to gain benefit, he could just grab a laguz stone, use it, and then eat olivi grass while parked on a wardwood close enough for you to lolrape aura's |

Why would you want to use him in the first place? You have plenty of other people who don't need any special treatment, and Gareth's just a waste of space in your final team anyways. Really, the best thing to do would be to kill him and earn yourself some experience. |

Special treatment? He may need Pure Water, but he doesn't need a weapon. Which is worse to require: Two Pure Waters or Urvan? Just to put things in perspective. Gareth really doesn't require that much; there's little reason not to use him for the time he's available. As THR said, it doesn't make him good, but the point remains. |

Fiona's +45 Avoid to Nolan/Zihark/Volug >>> Whatever Lyre can do. Since there's only three good Earth affinities in the DB and no threesomes in this game, one of them can just have Fiona sit behind them. |

Except you don't have to buy them because you don't have to use him. You DON'T need to buy a weapon for Ike, Elincia, Sanaki, and Laguz. You're saying it's better to go into the final chapter with only these units having weapons just so you can give Gareth Pure Water. |

...What? All I'm saying is that the fact that Gareth requires two Pure Waters instead of a weapon is an advantage, not a disadvantage. And that it never comes down to you having to not buy something else in order for you to afford Gareth's Pure Waters. |

Protip to Sanaki supporters: When you complain about spending 900 gold on a unit when you have at least 40k in store and 90% of your team is costing 0 gold, using weapons you already have (SS ranks/brave weapons/etc), or is a laguz (where you already have 2 laguz gems, and eventually get a third, so you only need a few stones if at all), you're grasping at straws rather than arguing actual points. I could talk about something like Gareth's support affinity being better and have a much more significant point. |

I don't like this list. I don't even like my own. I've come to the conclusion that this game is too large and has too many variables to ever have an accurate tier list. |

I feel almost the same, except that I think it is possible to create an accurate tier list--it's just far too boring to do so, as far as I'm concerned. |

I'm against this list on principle, because Lyre is at the bottom, but just for the shits I'll probably make a runthrough buffing up Danved, Kyza, Renning, Meg, Astrid, Fiona and Lyre, taking them into the final five, just to get a good laugh out of it. .. .. That's a lot of babying. ~ Kovu |

There's only one unit that I would ever consider to be MAYBE worse than Lyre, and that's Fiona. =/ But Fiona gets reasonable EXP and Canto and other stuffs and isn't a Laguz. =/ |
