Personal tier list based on all tournament experiences and results I know thus far: -God Tier- MetaKnight Snake -Top Tier- Dedede Marth Game and Watch Falco Toon Link Diddy Kong Pit -High Tier- Wolf Fox Ike ROB Zelda Sheik Squirtle Jigglypuff Lucas Pikachu Zero Suit Samus Kirby Ness Ice Climbers Charizard -Mid Tier- Wario Donkey Kong Luigi Bowser Samus Mario Olimar Link -Low Tier- Yoshi Peach Lucario Ivysaur Sonic -Bottom Tier- Captain Falcon Ganondorf ROUGH DRAFT, SUBJECT TO CHANGES. Not really about the current list, but is there any reason there isn't another set of tiers for characters in team battles? And speaking of that, didn't you just say on FEP that Pit was only good in teams, NOT singles? |

Teams would barely change much. Characters like Pit, Ganondorf, and Jigglypuff would move up slightly. Characters like Marth, Olimar, and Ice Climbers would move down slightly. I'm just emo about my character's flaws. That's all. Pit's pretty good. |

What's with the Yoshi hate? One of the best aerial controls in the game. Can wall of pain. Not as easily gimped unless on final destination. Comboreffic. No lag on landing unless using dair. Downsmash nerfed but foward and up increased. Fucking does a dance. |

Why count Pokemon trainer as three characters? And on that matter, why is Ivysaur low tier? Olimar mid tier? I can't see why personally. Jigglypuff for high tier? I was always under the impression she was one of the game's worst characters. I'll probably come up with more problems later.

The rest move still works, but it is far less effective now. ----- Anyways, Peach should go to Mid Tier, as she is very easy to use and that she has the best recovery in the game. Marth should go to High Tier as he has absolutely the worst recovery in the game. Diddy Kong High Tier because he suks and does not have any good combos. And Wario should go to bottom tier as he absolutely has moves that can easily be countered. |

Marth's recovery isn't that bad as he is floaty and his recovery could be changed with DI. |

Ike shouldn't be high tier because he has too many counters, namely characters that are speedy. Dudes like Falco, Fox, Toon Link, Metaknight, Marth, Pikachu, Zero Suit Samus, Squirtile, Sheik, and Ice Climbers just fuck him up because they're so much quicker and lighter on their feet. Jiggypuff just fucks with Ike by bouncing around him while he can't even hit due to his speed issues. Although Aether is a fucking amazing recovery. |

Ike should stay in high tier because many of the players that can beat him are in the same tier. Other than that, Ike is high tier because he has really big knockback, and has the range to hit. It often depends on if you turtle or go on the offensive. |

Um... Zelda and Sheik always counted seperately. They're totally different. The Pokemon are even more different from each other. Ivysaur sucks. Easy to gimp, lots of sucky moves, and his KO moves are a bitch to hit with. Olimar is the easiest character in the game to kill and he's totally helpless without Pikmin out. Those two flaws are pretty extreme. Jigglypuff's zoning is insanely good. As Ben said, she's a good mindfuck.
Ike can kill those guys between 50% and 80% consistently, so who cares? They have to try and gimp him through his super armour up B or take the hit from his crazy fast forward B to gimp him since he's so heavy. If Ike didn't have that jab of his, then yes, he'd suck against anything fast, but he doesn't. His problem is getting camped.
Nope. Kashif's Ness proves that totally wrong. Ness can pressure people really well with his B moves, including forcing air dodges with his PK Flash. His aerial game is superb. He can damage quickly by trapping you in PK Fire and then running up and grabbing you. His bat and back air are really strong for killing. Ness's only real problem is his gimpable recovery, but now PK Thunder is so strong that it can KO realiably, so it balances out.
Peach is awful. Her KO power and damage output dropped dramatically, and her recovery is actually abysmal now that her second jump does nothing and her up B has massive lag upon landing with it. She has range issues. Just...she's terrible. Marth's recovery is amazing. I have no idea what you're talking about. His up B got larger, faster, and stronger. The tether characters and characters like Ganondorf have shitty recoveries, not Marth. Diddy Kong is one of the best in the game for combos. Have you even played this game before? He's top tier for sure. He is a peer with MetaKnight and Game and Watch when it comes to h4x offense and combos. His only issue is his risky recovery. Wario has a nearly unpunishable aerial game that's super fast. He's heavy and has lots of KO power. He just has range issues and a bad recovery...oh wait, no he doesn't, because his bike gives him another jump. |
