So because it's there already, we should add more RNG based factors? More the opposite. I would rather minimize luck here. |

I agree completely. If you want to see what happens when a game has too much RNG reliance, Google Battle of Wesnoth. We're not talking FE5 style RNG, we're talking, 1RN and the highest hit rating you will ever likely see is 70%, and most of the time it's closer to 50%. The game has a huge luck factor in that even WITH a superior strategy, you can still lose because the RNG screws you in the ass. http://www.wesnoth.org/forum/viewtopic.php...t&sd=a&start=90 You can read the entire topic if you'd like, but I highly recommend just start reading when Cainen starts posting, because that's when it becomes More luck vs. Less luck. And yes, Cainen's luck IS that bad, and Wesnoth's RNG is that BS. I can't beat the campaigns without massive save state abuse, it makes FE5 look like a walk in the park by comparison simply because of that blasted RNG. Edit: And not to drive us too offtopic here. . . My guys are around Levels 2-3 (I have a few Level 1s and 1 Level 4), if anyone wants to fight. >_> |

Oh god, I know what you're talking about Paperblade - it's impossible to have make any sort of strategy work in that game when the highest hit rate possible is 70%. I can't believe they banned that Cainen guy for saying that. Btw, I just remade a team of level 1s. Contact me if you need a practice dummy.

I must say that I do prefer the old method of attacking more than the current way. I liked seeing how much I could do to every unit within range instead of check each unit one at a time. |

I do. >_> But that's only if I know they're actually there moving. Also, that's why I play 5-10 minute moves. On an unrelated note, the fact that everyone and their mother in my level range fields a female Pegasus Archer with max possible Speed makes me sad. That's like 8 damage plus doubling to my Lord. It sucks. Also, my luck with killing blows is pretty bad. I played a guy who was AFK for the first 4 turns today, and in my paranoia I waited 3 turns to attack (genius, right?). I ended up losing because my team missed half their attacks on the fourth turn and didn't kill anyone and his Pegasus Archer with a Steel Bow one rounds my lord. So. Anyone in the Level 7-9 range who doesn't field a Pegasus Archer wanna play? :D |
