The first 5 chapters will be copy & paste from the last Super Smash SMASH. The 6th one will be nearly the same with half of it revised, and from there on I will be updating it from scratch.

If you want to be in it, then take up any of the vacancies.

There are also other roles besides players if anyone wants to take those.

Cast Descriptions:

Lucas – An older teenager that lives in New Jersey. He is one player that excells in all, and got a special invite to Tokyo. A very feminine man who wears a pair of reading glasses, he has an odd and somewhat stalker-ish strategy of completely reading his opponent before a match. Things that seem irrelevant to video games, such as what they eat, how they dress, when they were born, etc.

Sentenal – A teenager that’s a bit older than Lucas, who is the top player of Roy. He can quickly read a situation and predict how it will unfold. With this ability, he is also able to plan and execute a strong strategy on the fly, making him a difficult opponent. He and Feez grew up in the same neighborhood.

Phil – A top player of Ganondorf, who likes to go straight for the opponent and beat them down so strong that they can’t get back up. He listens to and plays modern rock, and is a light-hearted person who likes to make new friends, somewhat different than his character, Ganondorf.

Reaver – A New England native who is very skilled with Mario. He likes cute little things and can be called a consumerist, and would buy anything if it had the words, “Nintendo” printed on it. He grows up in the same neighborhood as Leon.

Leon – The top player of Falco, who lives in New England. He plays cocky, even though he barley won a final match in the tournament that would send him to Tokyo with the title of the best Falco player in the world. He, unlike other elite players, has not mastered any kind of advanced technique, like wavedashing. His pet peeve is things that he can’t understand, which is a lot of things.

Pyro Ice – A young player who favors Luigi, and grew up in New England as well, but not in the same neighborhood as Leon and Reaver. A timid boy, he gets easily scared of intimidating people like Lucas and Soja, but is able to play like a pro, even under pressure.

Arienne – Top player of Jigglypuff, a native of Great Britain. She likes dressing up in fancy outfits, and goes to tournaments dressed up like it’s a ball from the 17th century. Very old-fashioned, but for some reason, her skill with Jigglypuff in the Super Smash videogame is unparalleled.

Dragon (Sniper) – Has earned the title of the best Samus player, and grew up in California. She has a fascination with the Japanese culture, and knows more about Japan history and customs than most Japanese people. Her favorite hobbies include sudoku, smashing watermelons with baseball bats on beaches, soccer, oh yeah, and Super Smash brothers.

Feez – Top player of Marth. He and Sentenal grew up in the same neighborhood, in Pennsylvania. The pair has won a large number of tournaments, and are well known in the world of Super Smash Brothers. He acts like a pro and plays as one, but has a large ego.

Harem – Top player of the favorite character from the original Super Smash Bros – Kirby. He uses the pink puff’s abilities to its best, able to take on any kind of opponent with any kind of strategy. A prankster, he isn’t a very mature guy, and likes to use stink-bombs and enjoys to fart in public. Some say that he was dropped on the head when he was young. He’s from Seattle.

Rock – An older and large man who looks like someone who would use Ganondorf but actually uses the polar opposite, Captain Falcon. He grew up in Texas, and clearly shows it by wearing the southern clothing fashion, with a tanned cowboy hat and worn-out jeans, but keeps the cowboy boots at home. Many mistaken him as a pedophile.

Air Grady – Uses the very popular Link, probably only because he has a sweet ass. ‘Cause this guy is from the deep and dark streets of Harlem. The guy had met so much hard stuff you’d be down six feet under if you hung out with him no longer than a few days, man. I mean dang, this guy done so much illegal acts and usage that he…he…P.I.M.P!

Pendant – A Virginia native who uses Pichu as her favorite character. Everyone laughs when they see who she chooses at the character select screen, but quickly turns white as a ghost when they see how skillful she is with the little electric mouse. She says few words, but is a genius at the Super Smash Bros game, along with many other things, growing up at a very large private school.

Neo – Top player of Yoshi, a character with a gigantic non-sexual tongue. Hailing from Florida, the teenager really, really likes two things. Bikinis and girls in bikinis. Even though he’s not in college he gets front-row seats up at Spring Break parties, solely to check out that uhh…stuff.

Psio – A very intelligent player who uses Mewtwo, and grew up in Illinois, but transferred over to Tokyo as a foreign exchange student for several years, and is fluent in both languages. He prefers hit-and-run tactics, and that strategy allowed him to conquer tournaments against the fierce Japanese in Tokyo. He is a true example of the pen being stronger than the sword.

Hystrix – Top player of Donkey Kong, and a native of the Philippine islands. He likes to use stupid and wacky moves to KO his opponents, and loves nothing more than humiliating his enemy. His true dream would’ve been mastering Pichu, but that proved too difficult for him. Hystrix for some reason is just as weird as Donkey Kong inhales, finding the oddest fads.

PhantomZero – A boy in his middle-teens (like most of the others), who lives in Las Vegas, and loves to gamble the illegal kind! He always carries a deck of cards around and dice that always roll his favor, so he can make quick and easy cash. The character that he gets lucky with? Game & Watch, he is mysteriously very lucky when scoring a 10 on Game & Watch’s special hammer move.

Bryars – An enigma who uses Ness, and is surprisingly deadly with him. He takes advantage of using meteor smashes whenever his opponent is off the stage for even a second. His attire always includes large headphones covering his ears, but no one knows what he listens to. As for his personality, he doesn’t seem to have much of one, and is fairly anti-social. The others swear that he and Pendant are evil mechanical drones. The director of Super Smash Brawl announces to everyone that he is from Italy.

Kamaitachi - Ice Climbers pro who truely believes teamwork is the answer to everything. He grew up in Bermuda, has a slick accent, and his favorite hobby is surfboarding, next to Super Smash.

Tiara - By far the hottest girl in the group of pros, but unfortunatly is hands-off. She grew up under a strict Catholic church, and carries a mini-bible everywhere she goes. She believes in the power of love for all that is good, and that love solves everything.

Linoud - One of the youngest players, but the not the least. A young Irish boy, he looks almost identical to Young Link, which is his best character. Not the most skilled out of all the pros, but not one to be underestimated. His age does come with his naiveness though, but he does have good intentions. He tries hard to fit in.

Tiltyu - The rash tom girl. Through most of her life she had been picked on for this by the other girls, but that didn't stop many guys from trying to hit on her. Too bad none of them are alive.

Greth - One of the Smash players that simply enjoys fighting. One can call him a sadist, which is awfully odd when he uses the very cute Pikachu. Although, when one sees him play, they swear that his Pikachu looks almost...vile...

Soja - The other player that proclaims he is proficient in all characters, like Lucas. His claim holds so true that he also got a special invite to Tokyo. He and Lucas have only played each other once before, and he lost the match narrowly. Yet, it doesn't seem to bother him, always full of morale and plans up his sleeve, it's a rare sight to see Soja look like he's under any kind of pressure. Incredibly British.

Kovu - Plays the popular Fox, but only because he's a furry. A Canadian furry. He also can't get enough of maple syrup or hockey.

Edge - A German that destroys enemies with Bowser. His catch-phrase is, "FOR ZA MOTHARLAND!!!" An odd-duck to be sure, but once he gets to know people, he really is friendly. Has a great facsination with food, even though he's only average size. He keeps off the size with working out, obviously seen by his strong built.

Ramza - 2nd Best Falco player in the world, who lost to Leon in what was argueably a fluke in the match that would sent Leon to Tokyo. Before he was the expected winner, and all save Leon himself expected Ramza to earn the title as best Falco player in the world. He never took the loss well.

I'm writing an intro now. QUICK ANSWER TO A QUICK QUESTION:

QUESTION: Why are there no other new characters?
ANSWER: BECAUSE I SAY SO DUMBFACE YOU GOT THAT

LETS GO TO A QUICK COPY N PASTE OF CHAPTER PWONE

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter 1 – Ready? Go!

“So sweet so sweet so sweet so sweet!” A young man giggled, sitting at a window seat, at a Jet Blue airplane. “Freakin’ Comcast TV, man! Can you believe it!? Best summer vacation EVER!”

A boy that was the other’s age sat beside him. The pair looked to be about 16, and this one had dark orange hair, wearing a black baseball cap on backwards. He also wore an open Red Sox sweatshirt, but he looked kind of nervous while sitting down. The plane had already lifted off, and was flying smoothly in the air, the stop? Seattle.

“FREAKIN’ TOKYO, MAN! TOKYO!” The boy clapped his hands, trying to get his friend excited. This one had white hair and was tanned, looking like an anti-albino or something weird like that. Wait, half-anti-albino? What the flux.

“You’ve never been on a plane to Tokyo before, have you?” The Red-Sox kid asked, almost groaning. “I mean, this is great and all, but from Boston to Tokyo is like, 19 hours.”

“Oh crap. Hey, has your ass ever fallen asleep? Weirdest feeling in the world man, ever. Wicked weird.”

“Yeah, wicked.”

“You sure you wanna wear that Red Sox sweatshirt though? Who knows what’ll happen if we run into a Yankee…”

“Hey, hey. No one gets between a guy from Massachusetts and his Red Sox, right?”

“I’m not into all that baseball stuff to tell you the truth. I only liked it when we had Jesus.” The white one haired said, making a nervous laugh after. He then looked over the seat in front of him and poked a younger teenager taking residence there, “Yo, Pryo Ice. You’re a Sox fan, right?”

“If I said I was a Yank my friends would beat me up and steal my lunch money.” Pryo Ice nervously said, which the white haired one laughed at, but stopped after he guessed that Pryo Ice was serious. “Well, hey! Tokyo is coming up! Representin’ our home, man! Let’s kick some Yankee ass!”

“Look, I’m really into this, Leon, but I think you’re getting way too worked up about it too early on. Let your energy loose when we arrive in Japan, man.” The orange-haired boy said, stretching and changing the channel on the TV that was in the back of the seat in front of him to the Anime Network. “Hey, do you know if they show that Kirby show on here?”

“I hope you’re kidding. That Kirby show is crap.” Leon frowned, looking at the TV screen. Sailor Moon was on, which made Leon gag. “Nintendo can’t make a decent show if it’d kill them. Actually, I take that back. Pokemon was pretty cool way back when. When Ash let his Charizard go I cried so much.”

“Dude, when Ash left his Charizard, we were like, 12. 13. Old enough to not cry at a fictional storyline.”

“Guh, shut up. But that Donkey Kong show was pretty good from what I remember…speaking of which, I’m totally gonna kick that guy’s ass when we get there!”

“Whose?”

“The top player of Donkey Kong! Dude, DK is cool and all, but he’s so slow in Super Smash. I’d so—!”

“Um, now stop right there.” The orange-haired kid said, putting one hand in front of Leon’s blabbering face. “You barley got into this whole thing. I really doubt you could take on any pro. Even Pryo Ice here could probably beat you. Luigi is wicked easy to wavedash and stuff with.”

“Pft, say that after he beats me! I’d tool any of you if you gave me the chance!”

“Um, what’s our score between each other?”

“245-2, you.” Leon muttered.

“And how did I die those two times?”

“My two CPU LV 9 guys KO’d you.”

“And?”

“You had a real high handicap.” Leon muttered.

“Yeah, so whose gonna lose when we get there?”

“Totally not me. There has to be someone worse than me!” Leon gagged, “Like I heard there’s gonna be some dude from Texas. Texas? Probably someone like Dr. Phil.”

“Well, if that’s not stereotypical, I don’t know what is. But point is, your win in that tournament was a total fluke.”

“Really!? Then how do you explain my win?”

“Oh, that’s simple.”

---

The Liberty Mall. In front of the Gamestop, at the lobby, was a large-screened TV with a Gamecube attached to it. Two contestants stood in front of it with a Wavebird, staring high up at the TV with a crowd watching. Leon was one of the participants, his character Falco with the blue recolor.

His opponent Falco with the green recolor. His orange-haired friend, Reaver, had told him about this guy. Guy’s name was Ramza, and he was this really famed Falco player. Reaver told him to take advantage of Nintendo’s random rule that they could use items here, and the stage was final destination. Reaver didn’t get why they could use items, but he wouldn’t argue with Nintendo.

Reaver told him to watch out for the wavedashing and Falco’s reflector combo. Leon had a question mark above his head when this was said, but when he entered battle, he realized what Reaver meant.

“Oh damn.” Leon gasped, seeing him get KO’d after a good ten seconds. He crapped his pants from how fast Ramza just nailed him, but Leon went back onto the stage, one life left, Ramza had two. He could still do this, right?

Leon then saw the little pokeball fall from thin air, and snatched it before Ramza could. He smashed it down onto the ground, and out came a Scizor. Leon’s face became filled with a smile, while Ramza didn’t think much of it. He jumped and easily evaded the first leap of Scizor, but didn’t see Leon jump up also and kick him back down. The Scizor came back up and did a good deal of damage to him, but nowhere enough to send him flying.

Ramza sighed, “Come on. You made it to the finals, can’t you do any better?”

“Yo mama.” Leon retaliated.

“Moron.” Ramza sighed again, and went in to finish Leon’s Falco with his own. Leon’s Falco retreated to the back of the stage, and Ramza decided to use a Falco’s special B-Forward move, Falco Phantasm.

Leon ground-dodged it smoothly, and didn’t realize that his opponent had over-stepped the Phantasm attack. The Falco had gone off-stage, and couldn’t do anything to jump back on. Ramza just KO’d himself.

Leon blinked in misbelief, but gladly took it. The crowd behind them cheered and a lot of them went, “WHAT AN IDIOT! OH MY GOD!”

Ramza hid a boil that was growing in his forehead by covering it up with his shaggy and long hair, “Well, that was unfortunate. I’ll just end this quickly then.”

The Falco came down from the floating platform at lightning speed, and smashed Leon before he could even react. Leon jumped back onto the platform, but Ramza used his reflector attack to bounce Leon up into the air, then combed him back down onto the ground. Leon had suffered quite a bit of damage from that combo, but jumped back up and smashed Ramza back, but it wasn’t merely enough to make up for what just happened.

One more strong smash off-stage would finish him, and Ramza was defiantly capable of this. Leon gritted his teeth, and jumped back and shot some laser bullets at him, and Ramza smiled and took the hits. “Hit me. You won’t win.”

Suddenly, a little flash appeared above Ramza’s Falco. Ramza couldn’t make it out, but Leon shot it, and it exploded above Ramza’s head. It was a bomb-omb, and it flew Ramza off-stage and a side-explosion occurred.

Leon’s jaw dropped down to the ground, as did Ramza’s. The winner menu showed up, stating, “Winner – L E O N!”

“Holy crap.” Leon muttered, and Ramza growled and smashed his wavebird on the ground, walking away. A Gamestop employee walked up to Leon and handed him a ticket, announcing that he has just been stated as the one who has won the most amount of tournaments using Falco, and has earned the title of best Falco player in the States, or the world. Nintendo has invited him to fly to Tokyo and Nintendo’s HQ to test the Super Smash Brawl title, exclusive for the Nintendo Wii.

---

“I totally had that in the bag.” Leon nodded, confident and smiling.

Unfortunatly, I believe the first 4 or so chapters will be copy + paste.

Chapter 2 – Welcoming

Reaver grabbed his backpack and suitcase full of clothes off the pick-up area in the Tokyo air-port, a bit tired and affected by the major jet-lag. It was about midnight in Tokyo, but the city never slept. Leon was at a large window of the airport which looked out at the city with its many lights, it reminded Leon of an Asian Times Square, except just better, and looked more fun, in his opinion.

Reaver stepped up to Leon and poked him on the shoulder for his attention. Leon turned his head around, his jaw still dropped from the sight of Tokyo. He was however, too tired to compliment it as much as he usually does about exciting things. “We should get going to the hotel that they invited us at.” Reaver said.

“Right. When are we going to Nintendo’s headquarters?”

“Tomorrow morning. We should meet the rest of the pros at the hotel, we’re all staying at the same place. Most of them are probably asleep by now, though.” Reaver said, yawning himself, “Look, Pryo Ice’s about to conk out.”

Pryo Ice was indeed, slugging his way towards the pair with his backpack full of clothes on. “Where do we…go?”

“Gotta get outside, we can get a taxi together.” Reaver said, nodding. “I gotta convert my money though to yen, first.” Reaver turned around for the exchange counter, but his eyes grew hearts and he got all lovey-dovey with something Leon couldn’t tell at first glance. He squinted his tired eyes to get a better look, and saw that Reaver had just fallen in love with the Tokyo Soda machine, which said Coca-Cola in Japanese characters.

“L-Look! It’s roughly $5! For a single can!” Reaver started to get tears in his eyes, and pulled out a tissue to wipe them with, “Oh, sniff…even these Tokyo prices make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!”

“Yeah, about that hotel.” Leon grabbed Reaver by the ear, and started to drag him towards the exchange counter. Reaver yelped, and Pryo Ice simply followed. Leon usually had to be responsible for Reaver when he got into his Asian-fanboy moods, as Reaver was usually responsible for Leon any other time.

---

At the tourist Tokyo Hotel, named the clichéd Lucky Star, inside at the main lobby, the lights were still on for the late-tourists. Some were also still awake, a few of them sitting around a table on their own chairs and one on a double-seated couch. The one on the couch wore a fashionable open leather jacket with a white undershirt, and dark navy jeans. He was handsome looking, and also wore stylish sunglasses. He was playing cards with a couple others, both about his age, which was 14-16ish.

One was a boy about the same age as the good-looking one. He wore ripped, weathered jeans and an Audioslave T-shirt. When he held up his cards, he gave a mild grin and chuckle, and tapped his foot to a rhythmic tune, similar to the jazz background music that the lobby was playing.

The last one was a Korean girl with a couple purple highlights that surprisingly looked good in her long black hair. She remained silent when she scanned her hand, not making a sound with her voice or emotion-wise.

The good-looking guy smiled more, and pointed at the boy with the Audioslave shirt on.

“You gonna fold?”

The other didn’t take much time to reply, “Nah. I’ll raise ya by 200 yen.”

“Funny how 200 yen is nothing but it sounds like a lot to us Americans.” The good-looking one chuckled, and put his four cards down on the table, revealing it to the Audioslave boy. “King of Diamonds, King of Spades, Queen of Hearts, King of Clovers.”

“Oh damn.” The other cursed under his breath, giving the two 100-yen coins to the other after showing his hand that was much poorer than the other’s.

“I’m not sure if I can do this, but…” The girl laid down her hand, and revealed four cards, all of different shapes. “Are four aces good in this game?”

The good-looking boy looked down at the four cards in disbelief, but quickly snatched the four cards and shuffled it into the deck, “No, four aces? Four aces suck. They suck.”

“Haha! Give her the yen, Phantom.” The Audioslave boy grinned, finding the dealer’s defeat humorous, at least to him. Phantom Zero clearly didn’t like the fact that he had lost, and gave the other boy a dirty look, “She never really put her hand down, she was asking me for advice. My advice is Aces suck.”

“Sore loser.” The Audioslave boy laughed, then looked up at the wall to see a clock. “Wow, half past midnight already. I should get going, before this jet-lag wrecks me.”

“Jet-Lag? I slept all the way over here. Not tired one bit.” Phantom said, still shuffling the deck.

“Neither am I, but that’s exactly what jet-lag is. I don’t want to wake up tomorrow at two-o-clock in the afternoon. Gonna miss the big testing event of Brawl. Wouldn’t miss that for the world!”

“Whatever. G’night, uhh…” Phantom Zero scratched his cheek, and the way his eyes looked it seemed as if he was scanning the archives of his brain for something. “Sorry, I’m real bad with names.”

“It’s Phil.” The Audioslave boy said nodding, then walked off for the elevator.

“Right, g‘night, Phil.”

“’Night, Phantom, Pendant.” Phil said, and the elevator doors closed with him behind them. Afterwards, Phantom dealt a single card to himself and Pendant, muttering, “Phil, what kind of a lamer name is that?…”

“Okay, this is just like the last game, except the higher card beats the lowest, just a single.” PhantomZero briefly explained the rules to Pendant, then tapped one finger on the table, “You gonna fold?”

Pendant shrugged, holding the back of the card towards Phantom, which had a drawn picture of Mario on it holding a mushroom. “I’ll raise by 1,000 yen.”

“One-One thousand yen?” Phantom stuttered, then realized that it really only amounted to about ten dollars US. He wasn’t used to hearing such large numbers. But he still dealt it like one, as the whole game they were using small money as bets. He glanced down at his card, which was a 9 of Spades. He would give a bluffing smile, but Pendant was a newbie at this. Still, 1,000 yen would be nice…

“I’ll…fold.” Phantom Zero rolled his eyes, he usually never backed out, but Pendant had been lucky all night.
“Let’s see what you got.”

Phantom Zero threw down his nine, and Pendant put down a three of hearts. Phantom simply blinked, as Pendant grabbed a thousand yen in the pile between them. “I’m the winner, correct?”

Phantom mocked Pendant in his head, ‘I’m the winner, correct? Nyeeeeh. She’s cute, but too…good’

Phantom put both cards back into the deck and into the small box, and then put it in one of his back pockets of his jeans. “I’m gonna hit the bunk, too. You should get to bed too, Phil is right about the jet-lag.”

“…right.” Pendant simply said, taking her winnings into her purse. Phantom Zero turned around and scowled at himself for being unlucky that night, heading for the elevator. Tomorrow he’ll use his fixed dice. But knowing that girl, she’d somehow find a way to beat those too…

He went inside the elevator, and at first waited for Pendant to follow, but noticed that she still sat at her chair, looking out the lobby entrance’s glass doors. Phantom Zero shrugged, and closed the elevator doors.

When he did, the glass doors of the entrance opened. Three boys entered the Lucky Star, being the three New England boys. The hotel was fancy, and Leon could guess that it was quite popular and had a high rating. Not a spot of dirt, and there was even a mural up on the ceiling of a Samurai fighting off an army of monsters. Leon found the whole Asian lifestyle to be pretty cool, and examined all the art in the room while Reaver and Pryo Ice went up to the counter for their keys.

“I’m Reaver Schwart.” He flashed his passport and ID to the female receptionist, and a couple credit-card-sized cards that had Mario on it, and the seal of Nintendo along with fine print. He showed Leon’s passport and ID also, “That’s Leon Serenade over there. We have a reservation on a room here, Nintendo said that they have the tab…”

“Ah, I see. Your room is #56, 4th floor. Mr. Serenade is #55. Here are your keys.” The receptionist handed him two card-keys, and Pryo Ice walked up to her and started the conversation to get his own room.

Reaver picked up his suitcase and walked over to Leon, who was examining a painting of a Japanese-style dragon trapping a couple dozen samurai with its flames. Reaver handed him his card-key for the room, and nodded him towards the elevator, “Let’s get going. I’m pretty tired, I drank too much coffee to stay awake during that flight so I could avoid jet-lag.”

“Why’d you need coffee for? The movies there kept you awake, man.”

“What were you watching? It was so horrible…I’d have much rather watched more Anime Network or Adult Swim…”

“What? You didn’t like Alien Vs. Predator? Dude, that movie kept me guessing. Who would’ve guessed that it would’ve been the girl who was a minority in both sex and gender would’ve been the sole survivor! And now she has got some cool alien stick and…do stuff with it…”

“You didn’t like it, did you?”

“Yeah, really sucked.” Leon said in a groaning tone, then shifted his eyes over Reaver’s shoulder. He saw a girl with purple highlights walk down a couple stairs from where all the couches and tables were in the lobby. She had her hair down, and wore a thin, cotton coat over a white T-shirt that had no ad or anything on it. As for pants, it was simply thin, faded jeans.

“Whoa, it’s a female.” Leon pointed over and behind Reaver, who turned around in response. Reaver rolled his eyes and grabbed Leon’s finger and pointed it down at the ground than rudely at Pendant. “Don’t tell me you haven’t seen one before.”

“No, I just didn’t know that they played video games. And are good at them.”

“For all we know, she could just be a Japanese citizen. Not everyone here was an invited person for the testing.”

Pendant glanced at the New England pair, then walked towards the elevator, beside the receptionist’s counter. Before she was parallel with the counter, Leon zipped past Reaver and waved his hand eagerly in the air, “Yo! ‘Scuse me!”

Pendant turned around slightly, then fully when she guessed that Leon was talking to her. “Yes?”

“Alright! You speak English!” Leon said, and Reaver was already behind him. Leon continued before Reaver could pull him aside, “I’m Leon Serenade, and this here is Reaver Schwart. We’re here to test out the new Super Smash Brothers title for Nintendo tomorrow morning. By any chance, are you one of the others that Nintendo selected?”

“That actually sounded mildly polite and pleasant.” Reaver muttered, and Leon turned his head towards him, “Say what?”

“Nothing.”

“…Yes, I am one of the professional players that Nintendo selected.” Pendant answered in her quiet and calm voice, “I am Pendant Orez…from America.”

“Yeah, same here! America! You met any of the others yet?”

“Everyone. You three are the last to arrive.” Pendant said, speaking in the same calm tone through the entire conversation, which creeped Leon out a bit. Reaver broke in, “Well, nice to meet you, Pendant. But we should be going – it’s late, and we have to be on time tomorrow morning.”

“Agreed.” Pendant said, and the elevator doors opened. The three stepped in, Pendant pressed the button with the 4 on it, then looked up at Reaver and Leon, “Floor number?”

“That’s it, actually. Looks like we’re on the same floor.” Reaver said.

The doors started to close, but Pryo Ice came running towards it with his backpack on, “Ah! H-Hold up!”

Reaver put his hand between the closing elevator door and wall, and the door opened back up. Pryo Ice stepped in, panting a bit, “Thanks.”

“No prob.” Reaver said, “What floor?”

“4th.”

“…maybe the rest of the players are on the 4th.” Leon guessed with a shrug. Reaver did likewise with his shoulders, “Perhaps.”

The elevator quickly reached the 4th floor with a ding, and the door opened at a small lobby with a soda machine, and a few different hallway-forks with signs telling which hallway had which hotel room numbers. Reaver went towards the right one, Leon followed. Pendant went towards the left, along with Pryo Ice. Leon turned around and briefly waved towards them, “See you two tomorrow!”

“Right, g’night.” Pryo Ice said, half-asleep. Pendant nodded without a word, and continued her walk back to her room. Leon and Reaver walked down the hallway, but only for a few seconds. Before they knew it, they had arrived in front of room number 55 and 56. Reaver slid his key down a slot on the door, and a small light flashed green. Reaver opened the door, and nodded, “’Night, man. We gotta be down at the lobby at 10.”

“Wait, we’re not in the same room?”

“No, I’m actually in here alone. They didn’t designate the rooms by our location, unfortunately. Would’ve made more sense, but…”

“So now I gotta go wake up some dude from who knows where. For all I know he can be some angry horny child sexual predator dude.”

“I’m pretty sure that they did background checks on us before they invited us, Leon.”

“Yeah, whatever. ‘Night.” Leon slid his key down the slot also at door 55, and opened the door, then slowly closed it. Reaver fully opened his own door and entered room number 56, beside 55. Duh.

In Leon’s room, the lights were off. All of them, not even a light in the bathroom so he could see where he was walking. He felt around for a light switch on the wall, but there was none near the door. He took a few blind steps forward, and finally, next to the edge of the wall, felt a light switch. He flicked the light on, and saw his very nice, dual-bed room. The bed by the far wall was unoccupied, and the far wall was actually a slide-out glass door with a balcony over-looking Tokyo city. Leon complimented it inside his head and stepped further into the room, but once he got past the edge of the room, he felt the presence of something there.

He was right, and in the corner of his eye, saw a man a few inches taller than he. Leon jumped back, and the man fixed the glasses that he had on. “So, you’ve arrived.”

Oddly, Luigi was my favorite character (along with Young Link) in Melee. I hope you finish this fan fic...it's pretty good so far.

EDIT: ...oh and I'm a Yankees fan. XD

What's kind of funny is I main Zelda, and Tiltyu mains Peach, so it's kind of flip flopped. But I guess the personalities sorta match. XP

Nevermind she changed hers. XD

I edited Tiltyu's profile, because Pendant's personality pretty much over-lapped what I had first written for Tiltyu.

Chapter 3 – Data

“So, you’ve arrived.” The older teenager pushed his glasses back up the ridge of his nose, examining his guest, Leon. The guest himself didn’t feel like one at all, and took a step back and yelped, spooked by this man’s sudden, scary, and unannounced introduction.

“Who, who the hell are you!?” Leon stuttered, raising his voice. He noticed that this guy wasn’t much bigger than he was. A few inches taller, but not really built strong. He guessed that the guy was a few years older than himself, out of High School, maybe. He had short and clumsy dark hair, but the most noticeable thing about him was his glasses, which Leon was unable to see the pupils of the man’s eyes through.

The guy also wore clothes that looked like he should be playing tennis. Leon found this guy to be an odd bird indeed, especially when the conversation started.

“Me? I am Lucas Fauts – Super Smash Brothers extraordinaire.” Lucas introduced himself with a short bow, then rose back up, “I’m surprised that a player who has been invited to the Nintendo Headquarters due to their Super Smash skills does not know who I am. But you’re an odd bird yourself, aren’t you, Leon Serenade?”

Leon thought he couldn’t be more startled than he already was, but found out he was wrong when Lucas knew his name, and he hadn’t even introduced himself yet. Leon then figured that this Lucas found out who his roommate would be at the counter of the hotel though. Yeah, that seems like a logical answer. Leon then tried acting normal again, and put out one hand in front of Lucas, “Right, I see you already know my name. Leon Serenade, looks like we’ll be roommates for a few days, Lucas.”

Lucas glanced down at Leon’s open hand, but didn’t make any motion with his own hand to shake it. Leon raised a brow, “Hey, I’m not sure where you’re from, but in America at least, this is what we do when we meet each other. We shake hands.”

“…I know that, I’m from New Jersey myself.” Lucas said, then shook Leon’s hand quickly and briefly, pulling his hand away, “Nice to meet you.”

Leon simply nodded, then walked over to his bed and threw his backpack on it, and started to unpack his clothes into the large drawer between the two beds. Lucas stared at Leon in confusion, but didn’t show any emotion on the outside.

---

Lucas was back at New Jersey, at a tournament held at one of the popular malls. It was the first match of the tournament inside of the EB Games in the lobby, and Lucas was first up. He grabbed the player one controller connected to a Gamecube, which was at the Gamecube demo TV screen, which wasn’t as large as the one that Leon had used in his most recent tournament.

His opponent, Andras, grabbed the other controller and looked over at Lucas, examining him instead of the character that Lucas has just selected on the screen, Ganondorf. Lucas returned the stare, as the crowd around the pair started to grow. “Lucas Fauts, right? I know that you're really good, but you're really choosing the slowest character in the game?"

Lucas briefly stared at Andras with no emotion, then back at the TV screen, "If Hellen Keller was a character in this game I could beat you with it."

"Wh-what?! Lucas Fauts, don't underestimate me! You’ll remember my name as I—!”

“Andras Rasox.” Lucas cut him off quickly, “Age fourteen. Gender, obviously, male. You live at Long Island, New York, and decided to come to this mall in New Jersey to win a tournament to impress your friends and for some reason – a girl interest. Favorite band is System of a Down, therefore your battle technique with Fox is relentless and you use the speed to your advantage. Or at least, you try to. Your favorite sport if Football, but you don’t play it. Your aftershave scent is—”

Lucas closed in his nose to Andras’s shoulder, took a whiff, then backed off, “Phoenix, by Axe.”

“WH-WHAT ARE YOU!?” Andras screamed, backing off, and starting to fall back into the crowd.

“What am I? I am Lucas Fauts, Andras. And I have your data.”

“I’M OUTTA HERE!” Andras yelled, and ran for the door, out of the EB Games. Lucas looked around the room, and looked over at the EB male employee behind the counter, “I believe I win by default?”

“…that’s the twenty-third kid you’ve scared off, Lucas. But yes, you’ve won…by the opponent clearly withdrawing. You’ll move on to the second round.”

“Excellent.” Lucas said, with a smile. He stepped away from the Gamecube, and walked back into the crowd, everyone clearing a path for him, afraid that his touch would contract some kind of disease. Lucas stared into the eyes of one young teenage boy, and gave him a smile, “Glen Bashelder, you have to potential to face me next. You’ll use Pikachu, a character that all your friends make fun of you for, but you beat them relentlessly with it. Your favorite food is—”

“Wh, WHAAA!” Glen screamed, then ran out the EB Games door as well. Lucas chuckled, then exited the crowd and leaned against the wall, and pushed up his pair of glasses, “Data is sexy.”

---

Back at Tokyo, Lucas decided to give it a whirl.

“Serenade. Your favorite band is Foo Fighters, but you debate them with other rock bands, such as Nine Inch Nails, Rage Against the Machine, Rise Against, and others…you use Falco as your character, and use his pistol skills to your advantage. Your nationality is—”

Leon looked back at Lucas, holding a pair of folded pants that he was about to put into the drawer. His jaw was open and he dropped the clothes into the open drawer, stunned again. “H-How do you –”

‘Heh, that’s better.’

You being Toon Link is more fitting, since you're one of the younger characters.

Changed Jaffar's character with Soja because I'd rather have people's names who are around here.

Chapter 4 – Personality

It was the next day, late morning. Leon was on a coach bus outside of the hotel, sitting beside Reaver at a window seat, around the middle of the bus. He was wearing a pair of newly purchased goggles above his forehead, and had a cup of espresso in hand, the hand holding the cup trembling a bit. Reaver noticed.

“Didn’t get enough sleep last night?”

“Well, I did…” Leon said, staring out the window, “…but it took a while. You know that feeling when you can feel someone staring at you from behind?”

“…yes…”

“That feeling really sucks.”

Reaver decided he didn’t want to dive any more into that topic, as he had found out earlier that morning that Leon had been paired with Lucas Fauts, whom he knew to be a very odd character. The bus had started to pile on with all of the other pro Smash players, one wowed Reaver with her choice of fashion.

She wore a light pink dress that was very old-fashioned, the bottom dress-part being very large, it was difficult for her to walk down the bus aisle. The dress looked like something that someone would wear to a British ball back in the 1700s, as did the old-fashioned umbrella and her large hat. She had blonde hair, and a cute smile. She decided to sit right up front, as maneuvering the large dress in a tiny aisle proved difficult.

Reaver, sitting at a seat beside the aisle, muttered, “Who is that?”

“Arienne Johnson.” Said Pendant, who was sitting at a window seat across from Reaver. The New England native was shocked, he didn’t even notice that Pendant had been sitting there until just now. “Ah, good morning, Pendant.”

She nodded, and allowed Reaver to continue, “Arienne…Johnson? Doesn’t sound familiar to me…”

“She’s from Great Britain. She’s my roommate.”

“Really? She a nice person? Her wardrobe is um, unique…”

“There is a reason why I was not in my room until midnight.”

“Oh.” Reaver said, with a nervous chuckle. While he was still making a light laugh, a boy his age walked past the three in the aisle, being fairly loud, “Alright! Make room for the grand champion, kids! Back of the bus for us, Sent! C’mon!”

“Stop making a scene, Feez.” Another, older teenager said, following the loud one. When the pair was past them, Reaver leaned his head over in the aisle and looked behind him to see who they were. He quickly recognized both, especially the loud one.

The loud one was Feez Birch, the person who holds the most KOs in the entire world. He wore a black bandana over his forehead and under his thick hair. His clothes were fashionable for someone his age, probably bought at a place like Pac Sun.

The other was Sentenal Price, who was very calm, compared to his neighborhood friend. He wore thin glasses that didn’t make him look unattractive at all, unlike Lucas’s. His clothes consisted of plain colors, being black, gray, and white. He and Feez are infamous Smash players, Reaver was pretty sure that even Leon knew who they were.

Feez was unable to take the last seat though, as it was already occupied. At the very back of the bus, there was a long seat between the bathroom and where all the food was kept in a closet. A boy laid down on it, holding onto an iPod and had large headphones covering his ears. He didn’t take notice of Feez or anyone else on the bus, while Feez and Sentenal decided to take a pair of seats that was the furthest back beside that one.

Reaver sat straight back up front, and looked over at Pendant, “Hey, do y’know who that guy in the back is?”

Pendant took a quick glance back, then looked back at Reaver, “Unknown.”

Reaver nodded slightly, he didn’t expect to know who everyone was here, anyway.

“Excuse me, is this seat taken?”

Pendant and Reaver looked up to see an older teenager with a little facial hair on the chin and transparent velvet sunglasses with small lenses, which looked like something from the 70s would wear. The teenager had natural brown hair and wore a black polo shirt with white sleeves, an orange collar, and a white undershirt underneath. As for the pants, they were tanned kakis.

He was pointing at the empty seat next to Pendant. She shook her head, allowing the boy to sit down on the aisle seat beside her. He took out his hand to shake Pendant’s, “Thanks, I’m Psio Pieoh. Congrats on making it to the top!”

“…Pendant Orez.” Said Pendant, and shook Psio’s hand lightly. Psio smiled and turned around to Reaver, and brought out his hand again, “Sorry to interrupt.”

“Don’t sweat it.” Reaver said, and shook the hand, “Reaver Schwart. This guy here is Leon Serenade, don’t pay him any mind, he’s kinda out of it right now…”

“Ah, the boy who was paired with Fauts? I’d expect anyone to be.” Psio said. “Fauts is one of the unforgettable people that we will all meet, there are others who are just as odd as he is…

“Not possible.” Leon said aloud, covering his mouth with his hand, still staring out the window. Psio chuckled from Leon’s comment, “I know it seems difficult to imagine with you sleeping in the same room as Fauts, but believe me…” Psio then pointed over the seat in front of him. A middle-aged teenage girl was sitting at the window seat, wearing tight faded jeans, and a black T-shirt that had Japanese text on it. She was attractive looking, with long brunette hair down and a white hair clip at the back of her head.

The male her age beside her, definitely noticed the attractive part.

“Hello, may I ask what your name is? I lost the list of the invitees here…”

The girl looked at the boy with a smile, “Me? I’m Dragon Eval!”

“Neo Valen, at your service!” Neo said with a beaming smile, and gently took Dragon’s hand and kissed it. Reaver watched in disbelief at what he just saw, that there was someone who would actually do something like that.

Neo himself was even more attractive-looking than Phantom, and looked older than he really was. He had deep, blue eyes that could pierce any girl’s heart, and wore surfer-like clothes, which were basically Billabong clothing and shorts. Dragon smiled from Neo’s gesture, but didn’t go into the fan girl mode like all of Neo’s other victims had fallen to.

“Why…nice to meet you, Neo!” Dragon gave a nervous laugh, then turned bright red. Neo smiled deep inside, his swift and beautiful moves were already working!

“OH-OH ME GOSH!” Dragon cried, fluttering her hands all over the place and turning even brighter scarlet. Neo was surprised at the reaction from just a simple kiss on the hand, but whatever made girls easy, he liked also!

“IS THAT, IS THAT ROXAS’S PENDANT!?” Dragon yelled, pointing at the necklace Neo had around his neck. Neo looked down at the silver, star-like pendant and nodded, “Uh, yeah, I bought it at a shop a couple blocks from down here.”

“WHERE!? WHAT’S IT CALLED!? YOU MUST TELL ME!!” Dragon then grabbed Neo by the collar and shooked him repeatedly and ferociously. If Neo was an infant, Dragon would’ve given him permanent brain damage right now and possibly been given jail time.

“G-GAIE FORGOT!” Neo whimpered, grabbing Dragon’s wrists, “It was in Japanese! I can’t read that stuff!”

“WHAT’D IT LOOK LIKE!? THE COLOR OF THE BUILDING! THE COLOR!!”

“I forgot! I didn’t pay attention!” Neo cried, now having either a stream of tears down his face or blue war paint. “Please, not the face! Not the face!”

“I MUST KNOW!!” Dragon cried, but was put off by a man clearing his throat at the front of the bus, standing up towards the group. Dragon released her grip on Neo and sat down quickly, paying attention.

The man was wearing casual dress clothes and reading glasses, he was Japanese. He also had a pin with Nintendo printed on it with fine letters. “Hello, invitees from around the world. I hope that you’ve all gotten to know each other, for we of Nintendo believe that this will be an unforgettable moment in or life, or so we hope.”

“We’ll start the bus now, the ride will be about ten minutes, with light traffic. At the Nintendo headquarters you will meet the head of the Super Smash Brothers project, Mr. Sakurai himself.”

Leon started to pay attention, and muttered under his breath, “Wicked sick…”

“You will all find out what Mr. Saizuki has in store for you all when we arrive. We hope you enjoy your stay here in Tokyo.” The man said with a smile, then sat down at the front seat, behind the bus driver. The bus started, then moved out of the parking lot, putting Dragon in a very disappointed state.

Reaver looked around the bus, seeing many unfamiliar faces, but a few familiar ones. He had met or known a handful of the people, but not all of them, and intel would be important here. He figured that Sakurai would have them all do a tournament with Brawl, using the new Wii system, which according to Nintendo, was still on its finishing touches.

Reaver was trying to fit a strategy against all of his opponents on the bus, but realized he had very poor intel. He only knew a handful of people’s characters, being Leon, Pryo Ice, himself, Feez, Sentenal, and Lucas. If only he had bunked and befriended Fauts, he may have been able to get the scoop on all of the profiles of the others.

But Reaver knew he couldn’t get this wish. He figured he’d just have to be on the same level as everyone else except Lucas, he wasn’t so famous himself, so he’d have a better advantage than Feez and Sentenal.

Or at least, he hoped. Intel wasn’t the only thing that won battles.

Reaver decided to take a look at the city, through the window that Leon was pointing at excitedly. Reaver was a bit disappointed when all it was was just a Ramen bar, Leon got excited over very little things…

Meanwhile, across from Reaver, Psio was doing the examining. He was looking at all the different faces, and looked behind him frequently. He looked back and saw the kid with DJ-like headphones on, who didn’t seem to care that he was one of the select few to go to Nintendo’s headquarters.

Psio then looked over at the New England pair with interest, but not the same stalkerish style as Lucas’s. It was funny to see how interested they were about the Japanese capitol, it reminded Psio of himself when he had first arrived.

---

It was the same city, different year. It was 1996, and Psio wasn’t even 10 yet. He stepped outside the international airport to the curb of the street, wearing a school backpack and holding his mother’s hand. His mother looked confused about the Japanese atmosphere, and looked like she even forgot where she was.

Psio pulled his mother’s hand, “Mom, where’s daddy?’

“At the Skyfleet bank, doing work…this paper has the address, but it’s all in Kanji, and I don’t understand a word of it…”

“May I see?” Psio asked, pointing at the paper.

“…sure, dear.” Psio’s mom handed him the paper, and Psio’s eyes scrolled down the paper, then the boy walked towards a taxi and stepped in, sitting at the back seat. His clueless mother grabbed him by the arm and started to pull him out, “Psio! We don’t know where we’re going!”

Psio then spoke in fluent Japanese, and the cab driver looked up at his rear-view mirror and smiled, replying in Japanese. The only thing Psio’s mother could get out of it was, “Ah! Skyfleet?

Psio’s mother then released the grip on Psio’s hand, and the boy re-entered the car and chatted to the cab driver in Japanese with no problem at all. His mother was impressed as she sat down, in the car, and closed the back door. The taxi drove down the street, and Psio looked over at his mother, “He says it’ll take a few minutes, I’m not sure how much yen, though…”

“Psio, I didn’t know your Japanese was so good! I mean, you’ve only been taught it for a year and a half…”

“Konichiwa.” Psio said with a smile, and his mother laughed.

Psio and his mom had traveled from Illinois to Tokyo, his father had just received a top-class job at a Japanese bank, which paid extremely well. Psio had been learning the language at a private school and took it further then he was supposed to by studying day and night. He learned the basics of the language in less than a couple years.

The cab took a sudden stop, making the seatbelts that Psio and his mother were wearing pull them to the seat tight. Psio asked the cab driver what was wrong, but needed no explanation when he looked out the window in front of him.

The bank was right down the street, a fairly large bank. The cab driver had suddenly stopped because a large van had crashed into the building’s base window, and masked gunmen jumped out from the van and opened fire. Psio unbuckled his seatbelt, but his mother grabbed him by the shoulder and pulled him down. Psio fought against her, he needed to see the scene.

He caught a glimpse of dozens of innocents being shot by the automatic fire-arms, but Psio was unable to get a good look at any of the men who were shooting. Suddenly, the doors on the back of the van busted open, and a young boy not even in his teens jumped out, with long black hair, and an AK-47 in hand. He also wore headphones and wore a scarf around the bottom of his face, covering up from the nose down.

Psio was pushed down by his mother after the two boys made eye contact with each other, though it was faint. Psio could never forget the color of the eyes, the left one being bright blue and the right dark black.

---
Psio found himself back in the present on the bus, and looked behind him, to the boy at the back of the bus wearing large headphones with an iPod. Psio quickly looked at the boy’s eyes, looking at the color of them. The headphone boy suddenly seemed to notice that he was being watched, and shot Psio a stare that petrified the Illinois native.
