There was some seriousness if the game got that far, dude. It was nearly twenty pages. Up until the mafia was cornered, everyone was playing for their side. The mafia really did the only thing they could have besides just sitting around and being hanged. If it ruins your fun, tough luck. Try again next time just like everyone else. |

Yeah, and once it got to the point where it mattered most that you helped your team, look what happens. Y'all would have lost a close one had that not happened, odds are, but one slip up by the citizens at that point and it was game over regardless...and it wouldn't have surprised me if you guys had won. It was a tight game with no way of knowing the winner... ...and a couple of people thought it would be funny to jump sides and ruin it. |

Get used to it happening. This is a game that you get better at over time and learn to be deceptive. You had the misfortune of playing against a veteran mafia when the odds were actually even, unlike in the games prior, so they knew how to wriggle out a win. |

"Get used to it happening?" You mean "get used" to my teammates turning on me at the climax of the game? "Get used" to all the effort being for nothing because someone found it funny to throw it down the drain? This had nothing to do with a "veteran" Mafia or an "inexperienced" citizen group. This happened pretty much because a couple of people thought it'd be a great idea to help the other team in their brilliant comeback plan. |

I've never survived a game of mafia. I mean, I've only played it 4 or 5 times now, but I'm still quite terrible at the game. It's pretty fun though. |

That says something about you more than it does me, if you want to know the truth. Regardless of how petty arguing over a game is, if you honestly think me stupid (as is apparently implied if not outright stated in this post I'm quoting here) over my ire at the result of a game, I think that reflects on how much or how little you value another person's intellect rather than how much or little intellect I actually have. In case you didn't notice, I *am* over it, as I noted in the other topic -- or, at least, "over it" enough to put it behind me (which, as I recall, means over it anyway). And if your respect for my intellect is waning AFTER I stated such, I really couldn't give less of a damn. You know, I really wasn't going to say anything more about it...but then, on top of this, you went on ahead and made it personal. EDIT: chris you lying sneaky bastard |
