Fire Emblem 6 Balancing Patch

Well, I'm going to make a patch for Fire Emblem 6, which balances the characters, classes and weapons.

In that file is a spreadsheet of all the changes I have made so far (Which is only characters as of now).

Take a look and tell me if someone doesn't seem good enough, or should have different stats, or a different level, different anything.

Anyone that isn't in there, well, I don't know how I should change them. That would be the thieves, Karel, Yodel, the dancer and the bard, Merlinus, and the secret characters (Which I don't care and won't be touching them).

If a character has no stats it's because my formula for base stats makes them weaker than they already are (this only applies to prepromotes)

Roy and Sofiya have the highest total growths (330 I think), while all other unpromoted units have 300%. Prepromotes have 250%.

physical units have a total of 50 base stats at level 1, magic units have a total of 45. For every level over 1, I add 3 stats.

physical prepromoted units have a total of 100, however prepromotes have a broad range of total base stats (ie. Marcus has a total of 92 and Garret has a total of 114 IIRC. It's something like that). Both are at level 1, and so now I don't really know what to do with prepromotes. Magic using prepromotes start at 95.

So yeah, I think that about covers it. Questions and comments plz. I'll also use this topic to compare my characters statwise starting with Cavaliers/Paladins.

I realize I had a topic for this a long time ago, but I started all over again, and that topic had terribly formatted and outdated info.

A lot of characters were useless, the prepromotes were mostly garbage, weapons were very unbalanced, stuff like that.

Unpromoted units will have well over 100 stat points come promotion, so physical units should have bases of around 110.

Sofiya should be at a higher level if that's possible.

That makes sense.

I think I'll just leave Marcus and Zealot at 100 since they are Jeigans and are suppose to be like that..

Sofiya has better growths than everyone else. I may give her base 50 stats instead of the regular 45 for magics, but other than that, I like her as the Ent/Nino character.

It makes her hard to use but not useless, seeing as how she would turn out better than any other magic user you get.

I don't use characters like Nino, but I like the idea of having that potential.

And.. My Spreadsheet just broke and I lost the averages of the cavs.. damnit.

Except Sophia never becomes awesome.

She will always have terrible durability, and thanks to her lousy Con and not-that-great Spd, she won't be doubling much either. Seriously, she's not Nino2 (or 0, since she actually came before Nino), she's just fail.

I don't disagree with you.

But I like the challenge that she gives you.

Of course she is useless on HM unless you are h4x

And being useless is what this patch is trying to fix.
