Chapter 1: The Vice-Director doesn’t talk about the possibility of him being the lead character A young girl was in a study, and was searching through the books on the shelves on both walls. She found the one she was looking for, and pulled it out. She climbed up on the table in the middle, and opened it up; she had already searched and bookmarked several other books and photo albums as well. The door opened, and a man reaching maybe around his 50s with a monocle in his left eye. “CARROOOLLE,” he said in his amazing exaggerated voice. He enjoyed exaggerating his voice when it came to saying her name. The girl looked up at him, and frowned. “My name is Sentena!” “Carole, it’s such bad manners to be on the table like that.” He closed the door and smiled silently. “What are you doing, anyway?” “I was thinking about these stories, so I was caught up in it…” Sentena, or should I say CARROLLLUUUU, closed the book innocently. “What stories?” he asked, as he walked to see one of the books that were sprawled upon the table. “It’s about the series of mysterious stories that started in 1930.” The man took a newspaper and started folding it. “Do you remember what I told you one time when we were on the train together?” The girl pondered. Oh right, she remembered. He was talking about their job. “Our job is to relay people information. However, the moment we obtain information, unrelated to whether that information is true or false, we cannot stop thinking there. We can’t stop thinking after determining its authenticity. That is the responsibility of those who hand information to the people who require our assistance,” she recited with a bored look on her face. “Well, you make it sound like the story changes if you think about it; that’s not true!” “…No, it’s true.” He swung the folded paper and it made a FWAP noise, startling CARRRROLLUU (I’ll stop that). “A story… well. It’s not information, nor is it the accumulation of information. Its conclusion is predefined. “Carole, why did you think this story started in 1930?” he asked, with a playful grin on his face as he set the newspaper down. Sentena, I mean… Carole, pouted. She didn’t really have an answer to that right away. “What’s the matter? Hahaha. And you call yourself the assistant of Daily Days’ Vice-director, HolyJester Saint Germain?” “That is…” HolyJester quickly stepped over and put his face in-front of Carole. “For example, Carole… It is the year 1711. It might be a good idea to start from within the ship, Advenna Avis, which was crossing the Atlantic. It might also be a good idea to start from the tragic event that occurred on the Flying Pussyfoot, the transcontinental train. That incident was however, secretly swept away from the history books. Well, regardless of all that, you’ve chosen 1930 as the start of this story. Why?” Carol mustered her courage to speak. “Well, that’s because I considered the difficulty of its comprehension. I was looking at the records, and when we caught hint of that story, November 1930 was the first thing I came across.” HolyJester raised his hand to halt her. “It may definitely be easy to understand it that way. However, you shouldn’t think only about chronology. Humans are like that. For example, how about we look at the peculiar thief lovers as the lead characters? Or that boy who suffers from his cursed destiny? Or perhaps, Gandor family’s intelligent detective?” Carol’s eyes brightened; she hopped over to an album and pointed out a picture of an attractive young man, perhaps in his early 20s. He had a green suit on, with a slightly unbuttoned white shirt. He had short dirty brown hair, and ruby red eyes. “How about him?” “Why him?” “Well he looks main character…ish.” “…Hahaha!” HolyJester started to laugh. “I see. That may be true. However, depending on which character you decide to revolve this story around, the characteristic of said story changes kaleidoscopically!” Carole leered at him. “Kaleidoscopically…?” HolyJester continued. “There is one incident. However, there are many stories explaining it, as many as there are people involved in it. So, let’s talk about this story…” He took her hand. “Let’s go to the café and discuss it there; how about that?” CARRROOOLLUUU nodded, and followed him out. And as they walked, HolyJester thought about the man that Carole had pointed out. “Soja Prochainezo… eh?” The thought lit up a smile. He remembered the incident in which he first laid eyes upon him…
”Yes. Immortality… Actually, a lot of the characters in this story features immortality.”
1930 Hakado and Tiara were standing infront of a bunch of gangsters, in some kind of fancy restaurant. Hakado was wearing a suit; he had normal brown hair, and a good-natured happy-go-lucky face, and air about him. Tiara had long blonde hair and blue eyes, and wore a white dress. She had the same happy-go-lucky face as well. A really hot chick took an ornamental spear from the wall and slashed Hakado’s ear. “AAHHH!!! HAKADDOOOO!” Tiara cried in shock of the pain of her lover. “Aaahh! It hurts!” But then… the ear healed itself. The blood, all gone. “Whoa, it doesn’t hurt!” He felt his ear, feeling that it was intact. Tiara looked, and gasped as well. “You’re right!” Hakado grinned. “Whoaa, that’s some crazy magic!”
1931 A young child sat on a crate in a moving train. He had fancy child clothing, brown eyes and neatly combed brown hair. He was facing a bloody maniac in a white suit. The man had blond hair, blue eyes, and a crazed look. He was also holding a pistol. “How about I just kill you kid?” The man grinned madly, and shot the kid in the shoulder, taking him by surprise. He then followed by shooting him in the stomach, and then completely blasting off his head with point blank shot, showering the railcar with blood. He laughed cruelly. “Let’s go.” He motioned for his men to follow him. When they all left, something miraculous happened; but let’s not forget. This kid is immortal. ALL of the blood off the wall flew back into his body and his head reassembled. Psio sighed. “Useless adult.”
1931 Santi Gandor was standing in a bookstore, reading a book by Edgar Allen Poe. Soja came out from nowhere and smiled. “You’re reading depressing poems?” Santi smiled. He had that million dollar smiled, and a cool-collected voice. He had light brown hair, and a fedora. “Ah, Soja. It’s just a poem I used to be… scared of.” “Really? And you’re not scared of it now?” Soja smiled, while leaning on the bookshelf. Santi chuckled. “No, not after last year.” “And why so?” “…Well, let’s just say that I’m not afraid of death anymore.” Santi shelved the book. “Ah, I see.” “..You don’t think about death?” “Nope.” Santi smiled and adjusted his hat so it covered his eyes. “Forget what I said.” Soja broke the short silence. “Anyway, some strange guys have been wandering on your turf, Santi.” “Must be some faggots from the Runorata Family.” “When push comes to shove, I’ll help you whenever you want.” “Don’t bother yourself; it’s our problem.” “Hey, don’t be so cold man.” “We can’t cause problems for your family, the Martillos. But hey, don’t sweat it. I’ve called upon PhantomZero.” “Phantom? He’s coming over?” “Yeah. He’s on the Flying Pussyfoot. He’ll be here tomorrow.” Soja‘s face lightened up. “Ah, Hakado and Tiara are on that train. I heard one of Greth’s old friends was riding that train as well!” Santi nodded. “Then let’s go together.” Outside, a car broke suddenly and came to a stop in-front of the bookstore. Three men jumped out with machine guns, and started shooting into the store, taking out all the bookshelves as well as Soja and Santi. The bookkeeper peed his pants and hid behind his desk. When the dust settled, Soja and Santi laid there dead. Not really. All the blood scattered by the bullet storm flew back into their bodies, and Greth jumped out of the store nailing a guy with a flying kick. His clothes were marked by bullet holes and yet he was unscathed. The guy he nailed was completely knocked cold, as the other two guys got into the car and drove away. Soja tied him up and dragged him into the bookstore. By the time he got back, Santi was standing up with his hat back on, talking to the bookkeeper. “…not a word of this, alright?” “Y-yes sir!” The man ran away to the back of the store. “I caught the dumbass,” said Soja, tossing the tied up man onto the pile of books. Later at the Gandor house Phil Gandor was pretty buff. Well, fuck that. He was REALLY buff. He was the muscle of the three Gandors. He started beating the bloody fuck out of the guy that Soja captured. “TALK BITCH. DON’T ‘UURRAAAHHHGHGHHGHGHGHG’ ME!” The thug remained silent, and Phil threw him to the ground again only to resume kicking him. Santi and Grady Gandor entered the room, and gazed at the beaten thug. “Greetings, nigga.” Grady knelt down and grinned. Grady had dark brown hair, and his face was pretty… nigga. Translation? He looked like an angry person. But still cool. The thug looked upon Santi and reeled in shock. “What!? You should be dead!” “Why don’t you tell us who your employer is?” Santi said, cool and collected as always. “…” The thug kept silent. “Ah, well. Too bad. Mr. Yzarc! Mr. Yzarc!” called Santi. In the side room, Yzarc opened the door holding a pair of bloody scissors. He had a smile on his face, and was shirtless; thus exposing his muscles. Santi gave an order. “I need you to take care of another.” “Understood. But the other guy hasn’t had his blood or oils cleaned off yet, so it’ll be… painful.” He opened the door a bit so show a cut up Laharl. The thug got scared out of his wits, and called out to Santi. “I’ll tell you! DON’T HAND ME OVER TO THAT FREAK PLEASE!” Santi stepped forth and knelt down to meet his eye-level. “Who ordered the issue to turn me into a bee hive…?”
1931: Runorata family A giant thug was waiting in an office, when another crime lord walked in from the balcony. “You’re quite spirited,” said the crime lord. He was easily into his 60’s, and reeked of wisdom. His grey hair had some shine left in it though. The thug waited for the crime lord to sit down to give his report. And when he did so, he rapped the table. “Talk.” “We killed Santi Gandor!” he exclaimed with pride. The old man stared. “…The uh, rumors say that he was brilliant, but it was really easy!” More staring. “…So yeah, the Gandors are really small time.” Again with the staring. Doesn’t this old man have anything else to do with his time? Now the thug was getting nervous with his boss’ silence, so he leaned in. “We’ve made preparations to buy taxi bombs from… my private sources. Thus, we’ll take care of the Martillos as wel-” The old man held up a hand and silenced him. “I need you to take care of something first.” “Oh?” The man took out a picture of a man and put it on the desk. It was a black and white photo; the man seemed to be in his early-mid 20’s. Brown hair, renegade-like face. His clothing wasn’t of importance. “Rock Genoard. Do you know him? The thug picked up the picture. “Genoard’s second son.” “Yes, the son of Raymond, and the brother of Jeffery Genoard who you murdered without informing me.” “…” The Thug knew where this was going.” “I made a phone call,” continued the old man. “He’s charging you for the murders.” “But that’s impossible! We paid off the Justice department!” “And yet he knows your name, and has evidence… Whatever. Just take care of it. Smoke him out and bring him here.” The old man, the head of the Runorata family, started to leave when the thug asked another question. “Can I decide whether he lives or not…?” He grinned madly. “…I don’t fucking care, Linoud.” And with that he left. Linoud looked at the picture and smiled. At the same time, off at the Genoard residence. Iris Genoard was looking at a picture of her and her brother, Rock Genoard. “Nii-san…” Iris was a woman in her teen years, yet she was elegant. She had long brown hair (again with the brown…) and serene brown eyes. 1931: On the outskirts of the transcontinental railroad, Winter. Two detectives unveiled a body, and grimaced. “Are you sure?” asked one of the detectives. The policeman accompanying them nodded. “Yes. His injuries are really bad, but he was a passenger aboard the Flying Pussyfoot. We’ve found about 10 bodies scattered along a kilometer of the transcontinental railroad.” “…I see. It’s true then… and Immortal must have been on that train…” muttered one of the detectives. Another policeman came running down. “Excuse me, Sir! There are two survivors!” “WUT” The detectives ran down to see a commotion. Two people were sitting on the ground; the man was covered in blood and the big busted woman was crying, clinging to the man. She was wearing a beautiful dress, and had long brown-blonde hair; she had a flower in it too. Now, the man… you know him. The guy who owned Hystrix a couple of pages back? Yeah. That was Leon. Leon Russo. “Hey hey hey HEY HEY HEYYYY! Are you gonna arrest me or not!? You know, even though I look like this –here he pointed to the blood-, I’m not in a very good mood!” The policemen were speechless, and couldn’t move. Leon put his arm around his woman, Kazyen Klein. “Babe, if I knew things were going to turn out like this, I should’ve killed you earlier,” he said, stroking her face. He lowered his voice to a dangerous whisper. “Or should I kill you right here?” Kazyen quivered in fear. “But… what about your…” “What that? You don’t want to be killed by me!?” He rose his left arm, which was behind his back. It was… open. His hand was lost, and his forearm was gone; only his bone was left behind of his forearm. All the police were sickened, and a few hurled. “AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!” Leon howled into the sky. 1931: Boarding/Leaving station for the Flying Pussyfoot The Gandors were sitting at a table at the café; the table next to them had three people. Soja, as you’ve met him, and two others; Greth Avaro and Ennis. Greth had squinty eyes, and square-rimmed glasses. He had neatly combed wavy brown hair, and was wearing a suit similar to Soja’s. Crysta had short red-hair, and dark red-brownish eyes. Her face was soothing, and attracted the attention of many men; many of whom were married as well. She wore a woman’s suit and had a really nice body. Kinda digressing but oh well. The Flying Pussyfoot pulled in the station, and people started to leave. One thing they all had in common was that they were all upset. As if they just went through a terrorist regime and survived. One woman in particular was Rachel, or more commonly called DS. Short for Dragon_Sniper. She wore traveler’s boots, and a green jump suit (which couldn’t hide her bust); she also had a green bandana over her beautiful short dirty-blonde hair. Her sharp eyes matched the color of her hair. She limped off the train and went to look for a crutch to remedy the whole ‘I’m walking on a fucking broken leg dammit’ situation she was in. Behind her were three people: two guys and a woman. The woman was assisting one of the men walk, as his arm was around her. The woman had scars on the right side of her body, mainly her arm and face. She had an eyepatch on her right eye as well, and also sported some frameless glasses. She had a red-tank top and some shorts. The guy she was assisting had a tattoo on the side of his face, and had short spikey brown hair (seems like a lot of people here have brown… and not black hair). The man behind them was HUGE, and said nothing. The man and women were bickering though. “Ow ow ow Hollie! Walk slower!” “Suck it up, Simon.” Next, Hakado (who sported a cowboy outfit) and Tiara (who had an attractive red dress) ran over to Soja, Greth and Crysta and greeted them with hugs. “My FRIENDS! How are you?” asked Hakado, as he manhugged Greth. Soja laughed. “You look like shit; what the hell happened?” “Well, I’ll tell you. If you live long enough.” The two laughed at the joke. The young child whose head got blasted by Leon earlier walked up to Greth and they stared at each other for a while, saying nothing. Greth smiled. 1931: The Riverbank, next to the route that the Flying Pussyfoot took. Several fishermen were doing their business, when suddenly they pointed in the distance. A beautiful young woman with pale skin was on a box, barely conscious. She had raven-black hair and eyes; her hair almost reached her shoulders. Her black dress was elegant but soaked by the river. 1931: On top of one of the railcars of the Flying Pussyfoot, before it docked. PhantomZero, or Phantom, was reading a message carved with a knife. His appearance couldn’t be seen by the shadows of the mountain. He stood up and looked off into the distance. “I’ll find you. Definitely.” With that, Phantom jumped off the moving train, and ran towards the setting sun. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now, I’m rewatching the series and writing scenes as I go. However, because we don’t have this flashy animation, I had to piece together scenes that were mixed around in the anime (although it still made sense). There’s one scene in the first episode I didn’t include, but I’ll get it in next episode. |

The series itself can be hard to follow if you aren't paying attention, but I'm trying my best to remedy that. However, I'll quickly explain how each episode/chapter works. Each of the titles is the theme of the episode itself, as Gustav/HolyJester is telling the story to CAAAROOOLUUUUU. For example, this one was "The Vice-Director doesn’t talk about the possibility of him being the lead character." While the title is a joke itself, they were talking about who the main character could be. So the first chapter is mainly to give some insight on what happened in the years 1930-1932, and introduces a lot of important characters. This chapter in particular focused on the incident that took place on the Flying Pussyfoot in 1931. Each episode/chapter goes through time (1930-1932) as it follows the theme of the episode. In other words you're going to see events out of order. However, when finishing the initial 13 episodes (i'll be doing the additional 3 episode OVA), the order of events should be quite clear. Or at least, that's what I'm trying to do.

UPDATE. I added in another section of the chapter; the one I was originally going to keep out. It starts with “Or even, that idiot man whose doting sister searched for him while he was meddling with the mafia?” So control F that.
