That's happened to me multiple times against you and dmbrandon. My last good Melee wins against Sensei and Tec0, I also thought I'd lose beforehand. I also thought I'd lose to Hylian and Shadow but I won anyways. But hey, you can't knock that positive attitude that Sky thinks works best. |

Its true both ways, I think, for pretty much all competitive games. Its true you can go into a game, thinking you are going to lose, and win. Basically, if you think you are going to lose, you don't dwell on it, and you take the pressure off yourself. High-pressure situations can make even the best players collapse, if they don't have the nerves for it. If you do have the nerves though, go for the confidence approach. Set the pace of the game. Don't let who the other guy is scare you. I know people who I play Starcraft with, who normally are good players [for foreigners], who when they play against someone who is a good deal better than them, just choke. They focus too much on how the other guy is better than they are, or how much you need to win this game (if in a tournament), and not focus enough on the actual game, and play worse than they should. |

It isn't accurate. You can get tourney nerves against bad people. Nerves = bad, being realistic = not bad. |

Hell I'm not sure if he's actually playing. He semi quit. But I'll give you advice. Against new people, he'll play a semi noob style just to see how you play, then adapts to it. I think he's going full out MK now, so he's essentially going to space and gimp all day. His Snake Is a great Mine and Grenade spammer and he will always punish you with tilts. Also, he has a great down throw game. Have fun.

Bleh, Thundah didn't show, but a rly good Wario did. I lost to him then a DDD and got 4th. Slit made it to the finals but the Wario swept the whole thing. Damn he was good. |
