I just go for what I think is right. It's just a matter of coincidence that it also happens to be the majority that believes the same thing most of the time. It's not like I don't have other supporters, either, but since that may be considered leaking, I'll say nothing of it here.

You guys can always request it, but a signature is something that should belong to the user, not to the administration. So, I believe the deal should be that if you want to find some way to slap in our old usernames somewhere visible, it should be in our profile. Members can't be that lazy(to click on our profiles), can they? Besides, you're just stuck with shitty invisionfree. Putting your former name in your profile is fine too. Someone could put their former name in their signature, member title, avatar, profile, etc. Just somewhere, so that the member can be identified. I'm going to ignore the part about upgrading.

There's a reason why I never remove the CRYSTA ZOMBIE QUEEN in spite of my name change. >_>; I find the argument against it needlessly stubborn. It helps moderators out more, too. Warnings stick regardless of name changes, but I can gauge whether or not to close a topic better if I know who's doing the wrongdoing. Some people just blatantly ignore me, others don't. I haven't seen anyone complain about it so adamantly before. But if it does become a rule, I'll enforce it anyway.
