The metaphor wasn't a bad choice, per se, but something about it just rubbed me the wrong way. Then the rest of it was insanely boring - I just skim-read. The final bit was a little wtf because up to that point it seemed a fairly happy piece. I much prefer the crazy guy. Hmm. I need to do another one of these soon.

I suppose I didn't have enough in the middle to really make it work well, that or I didn't reference the idea that she seemed to be unhappy and almost different when she went into rooms or buildings.
