I don't really like some of the things it leaves out (like supports  my fav part of the game) and the fact that the names they use for the charicters look more like a guess of what the katakana says as opposed to what it actually means.

It sounds least interesting cause of supports being wiped out. Most people would get it regardless like meself here. Ive been still playing and getting a laugh from FE playing once again. I'll buy it whenever I get the money, money yea yea!!! |

I plan on getting it as soon as I have the money. I never have the concentration for Fire Emblem roms, but I seem to get completely obsessed with them on disc/cartridge. I still love the game, even if it's not q uite asinteresting as it used to be. I doubt this will be the best release yet, but it would be worth the money for me. |

So...you're not going to get a game..because none of your friends play it..wow. So you probably wouldn't wear any clothes that your friends don't wear..eat any food that your friends don't eat, or just overall not do anything that your friends don't do. My friend and I were baking a cake for my mother's birthday last night (a few hours ago) when I saw a message from Fallen Sorceress on facebook that was like a kick-in-the-balls reminder that this came out. So we sped through traffic and got out to Wal-Mart 10 minutes before it closed so I could pick it up. .. damned guy there was having a lengthy discussion with another customer and here I was with a cake in the oven. Fortunately I got the game in time and managed to get back before the cake burnt. Awesomesauce. Nice thing is, FE isn't that popular here and it was only a remake-- so it was really cheep. $35 well spent. ~ Kovu |

Then you should post your friend code in the other topic in the FE"SD forum.. but I went to 3 walmarts and two gamestops when the game came out..none of them had them in yet. But what ticked me off was a stupid gamestop employer saying, "Fire Emblem doesn't come out until the 17th" and I'm like wtf...I almost kicked him in the nuts..jerk..then we texted chacha, and sure enough...Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon came out on the 16..stupid gamestop employers..if they didn't have their heads so far up microsofts butt, maybe they would know a think or two on video games. I've got it, and its not too bad considering, but it lacks the elements that the origional games of FE have....I just hope and pray that if they keep recreating origionals that if they do FE4 that they don't fuck with it, otherwise there will be an onslaught  ...it was the origionals and the way they were structured that made them so damn good, and pretty much im still yet to be convinced of any hope of a future release of FE remakes that'll be as good or better than the origionals...

Graphical updates, possible retranslation in areas, extra additions (etc.) and stuff never hurt a remake. Though I agree with you on principle. The AVGN is going to be displeased when he learns the details behind the new FE (assuming he keeps up with FE). I can also picture some smash/FE noob being like "Holy shit, that Marth guy from Melee! They stuck him in a new Fire Emblem game!" ~ Kovu |
