So I've been playing Brawl a lot with the kids on my floor, and I'm decent with Snake so I used him and they're all like "wow, Snake's the worst character in the game". Now, I know he's not but I can't be all like "omg lolz hes akshully top tier" because I usually end up losing to these kids, and I'm not going to provide them with a link to smashboards or something. So in other words, what can Snake do? I use the little grenade trick, but there's only so much you can do with that. |

I haven't played Brawl in months, but I know Snake can do "snake-dashing" or whatever the proper term is. It's basically this crazy thing where use use usmash to move around fast. It's not that hard, I was able to learn it in a day. Somebody else should explain it better though, I know I didn't use any proper terminology. |

|
1.) Never die ever since Snake is so heavy and has ridiculous recovery. 2.) f-tilt through all of their moves. 3.) up-tilt them because that move is lol 4.) the missile is fun too 5.) u- air and back-air are are very good kill moves. 6.) if you are getting comboed, pull out a nade and blow both of you up. might even be able to sneak a back-air in after that too. like for example, if sheik is spamming f-tilt on you, pull out nade, both of you explode. 7.) grenades are fun 8.) up-smash is fun 9.) if you are playing on a stage with platforms, forward smash hits below the platform as well. working in fsmashes into the game can take stocks off people ez, if you actually land it, and at ridiculously low percentages too. |

What specific match-ups do you need to know about? I'm one of the best Snakes in the nation and can probably help you out with any of them. My other main is Meta Knight. Snake is amazing at camping overall. I just run around and jump from platform to platform dropping grenades and blowing up C4s. It's really hard for even top tier characters to deal with that camping. I'm surprised your friends can even win given how stupidly broken Snake is at lower levels of play. Bad players don't know how to punish his moves, suck at DI'ing his insanely strong stuff, and don't really know how to exploit any of his weaknesses. |

I would have to agree with Inui. Considering my friends and I are bad players in comparison to the pros, one of my friends completely dominates all of us with his, what we call, "cheap Snake moves". |

Snake is easy to play. All you have to do is convince them that they do, in fact, want to eat the fruit. Then you win.

What's hard about Pit? Unless he's ledgecamping massively, you can punish anything he does with f-tilt and he can never glide at you because of Snake's u-smash. U-tilt will kill at about 110% for sure, but your friends probably don't DI super well, so slightly lower should work. Pit doesn't let you grenade camp well because of his arrows, but if you can powershield well and mortar slide, you'll get in easily. Zelda and Sheik can be pretty gay. Just watch out for Zelda's stupid nearly unblockable smashes with tons of active frames. You can't powershield them. You should be able to punish Din's Fire with a mortar slide and all of her moves with an f-tilt. Sheik can stop grenades with her needles and f-tilt lock you. DI up towards Sheik and footstool her or just time your jump and you'll get out. It's easier than it sounds, so don't worry. |

F-tilt through their moves, and if the Sheik is hitting you with f-tilt, hit b to get a nade out. Better to blow both of you up, than just let him combo you. Never die ever. Snake 101. |

But you can just DI out and not damage yourself. I guess blowing up the grenade is a good idea if you're winning or only need to hit her one more time to get her to kill percent. |
