   My first mugs. As you can see, they are all pretty simple; splice and recolor, nothing fancy. Helpful criticism is welcome

They're okay, but they need a lot of work. I'd advise against doing custom stuff like what you did with the neck on the 2nd until you've worked up some skill in recoloring and splicing. And you might want to dull your colors down a bit, they're pretty bright. Keep at it. ^^ |

Your outline colors are all over the place, and most are waaay too light. See on the first one how the face outline doesn't match any of the others? That face outline should be your outline color for all of the sprite. Most of your colors are too bright or too light, and the edges of your splices are terribly choppy. Try keeping two copies of the parts you want to splice so if something overlaps awkwardly, like the hair over the armor on the third one, you can try putting the armor in front of it and seeing if it looks better. You definitely need more practice. |

sorries for being gone for such a long time. mah schools pretty crazy... anyhow, ive moved on to sprites since my mugs still need working on. i figured ill just do mugs later or sumthing.  idk what i should call this. made both genders   if you havent noticed, these are all pretty basic splice and recolors. criticism is welcome. |

If your mugs need working on wouldn't it be better to, ya know, work on them? XP Granted, battle sprites are a lot easier to do. 1st: Shield is a bit too big. I'd use the soldier shield for that one. And a different angle, it looks like it's just slapped on there. And...what is that on the second one's head? A helmet? >.>; 2nd: It's okay. It's a bit too much with two weapons. Stay away from stuff like that. Also, on his right shoulder (our left) that top pixel should either be gotten rid of or changed to be part of the cape. It looks like a tumor or something. XP 3rd: It's okay, too, but why would he need a knife if he's got a big ass axe? XP Also, the legs are a little short. And the head's too small. |

yes you are right about the practicing thing. im just a bit too lazy to work on them today....which really doesnt make too much sense seeing as i made sprites. whatever XD yes the thing on her head is a "helmet"?....i really dont know. it was on a valkyrie (did i spell that right?) so im assuming its a hat. kk gave the dude surgery and took away sword  he has a knife? where do you see that? >.< btw the small legs was on purpose. but ill take the advice to consideration and remember to make my ppls legs longa. btw where can i get a mamukte (FE6) sprite? i cant seem to find one |

Goof. XP That's much better. XP Yeah....or maybe it's just a chestplate for his armor, I dunno.... XP Either way it looks odd. Color it green like the rest of his stuff. Same for the gloves and boots. |
