Yeah so I haven't really been active here since the beginning of 2009. Honestly, I was planning on checking in occasionally until this place finally died, but it has become clear that it should be ended now, instead of drawing out the inevitable. What can I say? I joined FEFF sometime in May '04, back on the old board. Back then I was SwordDemon, although it seems most people don't even remember those days anymore. FEFF was my first internet forum, and remains the only one where I've met people I can truly consider "internet friends/bros/whatever", instead of just guys on the internet. It took years, but over time I've gone from one of the biggest noobs on the site to a (mostly i hope) respected member, advisor, and other stuff. I've had so many good times here, which is why it does bring me some sadness to make this topic. But let's face it, FEFF is dead. Nobody has cares about Fire Emblem, nobody cares about the RPG, hell, nobody really cares about anything here anymore. Most of the best members have either moved on or have become very inactive, only popping in once a week or so. Anybody who believes there is a way to revive this place is simply deluding themselves, trying to recreate the good old days. The purpose of this forum was lost long ago, and the last remnants of life have slipped away over the past few months. Which is why I'm leaving now. I mean, I technically left awhile ago, but I'd like to make it official, as a sort of last tribute to this place. But of course, what would an exit be without shoutouts? I have one: to da Niggaz! As a founding member, some of my fondest memories have been with you guys. At several moments, we definetly had more influence and power than the rest of the FEFF staff, which was awesome. Yeah, it would have been a lot better if we killed FEFF via nigga raid instead of this, but oh well. Well there isn't much else to say, is there? Thank you FEFF, for the good times and the bad. I've met a lot of fantastic people, learned a lot, and watched as the forum grew up with me. I always wondered what it would be like, the day I could truly say FEFF died. Although the end could have been better, I'm glad everybody is going out now, and not having things go on like this for another few months. And one last thing, please change my name to Phil and demote me from the staff. However, do keep me as a "da Niggaz Veteran". It's how I'd like to be remembered.

its always sad to see someone leave. but it is even more sad when it is from someone who has been here THAT long. good luck with everything and all that. but there is just one thing... doesnt forum activity always slow down when school starts up again? i thought that was a typical internet thing |

ah sorry if i didnt make it clear enough in the original post i had not posted here for nearly 2 weeks before i made this topic. i had basically left, but decided to make a leaving topic upon finding out that other people had my actual leaving was not influenced by others, only the creation of this topic *logs out again* |
