FEFF may be based on Fire Emblem, but we've talked about a lot of other games, too, have we not? All you'd have to do is make a section for it in the gaming forum or something. All that could really stop it is maybe Sentenal, but at this point I'm pretty sure he's almost ready to try anything. >_>; That'd also make ANWO almost pointless. XP

DO SOMETHING. Don't cry to members to give you suggestions, that's why (I assume) you're staff members.. Members are obviously going to miss old members.. but it's your job as a staff member to suck it up, and regain the activity being lost with the absence of a veteran. Do your job. =/

絶望した！！！ Posts: 1,213 Group: FEFFer Member #1,306 Joined: June 11, 2007	ANWO is its own thing and is thriving more than this place. nobody is going to leave ANWO and come back here suddenly because FEF offers the same stuff they already have. people like ANWO because it is a fresh start w/o politics or strings attached. if you are going to try and fight for activity from members who attend both forums, offer something that they don't get at ANWO. making FEFF like ANWO will not make them come back. piggybacking off of them is kind-of desperate. FEFF needs something of it's own. a reason to be here... more than just "topic discussion". RPG was the first and original reason why i joined FEFF in the first place and is likely going to be the only thing that FEFF has to offer NEW and old members alike. A graphics contest isn't going to make activity spark. Those forums are not the general activity of the forum. Trying to stimulate them will probably do very little. Concentrate on the Fire Emblem boards. Concentrate especially on General Discussion boards. RPing and RPGs are difficult because of FEP's successful "FETO" and their RPs. It's important to be original and get some content that not only separates us (in a positive manner) from other forums, but simply stimulates activity right now.

It had non-FEFF discussions and forums and at least 40% of the members originated from a non-FEFF location. Upon its slow death I tried to convince some members to come here but they weren't interested in FEFF. I resent the bold, but agree with the rest. Anyway, we shouldn't even be talking about ANWO. FEFF is the first forum I check every morning, ANWO is the third. The fact that I'm posting more there right now simply shows the staff's interest in sparking activity any way they can. There's simply a lot more discussion going on there. .. we really need to do the same here. ~ Kovu

yay for conformity! Posts: 10,592 Group: FEFF Emperor Member #443 Joined: October 8, 2005	ANWO is it's own fruitful community, therefore irrelevant to us. Replacing inactive staff members is a good thing on merit (in fact they'd probably enjoy the break), but they'd be filled by people who have been in the staff room for awhile already. It won't produce much more content and ideas if we haven't already, quite frankly. Right now everyone is saying "YOU GUYS SHOULD DO SOMETHING" and leaving some genius to figure out just what this thing is. If we had these new ideas, we probably would have employed them already. We have old ideas we could try again, but it'd have to be for the new peoples, and we don't have enough of them yet. So either someone's light bulb goes off right or we continue what we usually do: post until someone gets a good idea. Advertising would help. Slowly.

Though EotZ is dead I'll still use it as a place to store backup information (I'm paranoid) and ECW's still on my list for nostalgic purposes (its also packed full of RPG information). --- We are (slowly) discussing the matter of staff prunes and replacement. Though that won't solve the immediate problem inactive staffers is a problem upon itself. I'm not going to elaborate here-- someone will post progress as it happens. I don't remember the last time I've seen Harem post. I don't remember teh last time I saw Leon post. Posting is the most important thing to stimulate this community, and even though that's not technically in the job description of an administrator or moderator, the more active the community can become.
