Usable Characters: -Marth -Frey -Abel -Cain -Draug (durable, so he can not die, but no offense) -Shiida (will never do damage, but is fast and can fly) -Wrys (only as a healer that can never see combat) -Oguma -Barst -Julian -Lena (only as a healer that can never see combat) -Nabarl -Merric -Hardin -Wolf (don't recommend it because you rely on powerful growths over promotional gains and having a lot of levels to gain) -Sedgar (see above) -Athena -Bantu (a dragon, so I guess he can do stuff...) -Caeser -Radd (will be hard to raise) -Maria (only as a healer that can never see combat) -Linda (can't take a hit) -Dolph (going to be hard to raise) -Macellan (see above) -Horace (can kinda take hits but that's all) -Palla -Catria -Tiki (a dragon, so I guess she can do stuff...) -Lorenz (can kinda take a hit so he can exist on the map a bit like the other Generals) -Nagi -Gotoh (sucks now, sadly) 31/59 characters are usable. 17 of them are actually decent to good. 3 of them actually look top tier while the rest look vastly inferior. Problems: -Kept 0% Res growths. -Gave some mages 0% Def growths. -Half of the characters are still unusable -Some units kept FE 3 stats despite higher caps and stronger enemies clearly warranting higher bases, namely Wendell, Boah, George (Jeorge), Midia, Astoria (Astram), Samson, Alan (Arran), Minerva, Lawrence (Lorenz), and Gatoh (Gotoh). I am seriously confused as to why these characters, most of which weren't even good in the original game, retained their FE 3 failure stats in a game with bigger numbers. It makes no sense. Overall, I'm not excited to play this game at all. It looks even more horribly unbalanced than FE 3. Cain, Abel, and Frey are obviously millions of times better than everyone else because they are Cavaliers that join as early as possible with good supports and powerful growths. This is like having the godlike Alan/Lance duo from FE 6 but with Kent also chilling with you for lulz. The gaps between top tiers like Cain and Abel and bad characters like Astoria and Alan are now even larger. Almost half of the characters are clearly so bad they can't even exist on the maps, only half of the usable characters are actually good, and three of them look like they're in their own league of rape. I'm going to play it anyways, but I doubt I'll play it a lot. Edited by Ema Skye, Mar 16 2009, 04:37 AM.

I got as far as, like, chapter 8 or somewhere in there. The game doesn't really hold my interest. Too many characters gained in too short of a time span, not much story or character interaction/development.. nothing to really keep me hooked. I'll finish it, eventually. I'm not overly fond of the growths either. I tried to mess around with their classes a little but for the most part kept them as their intended classes. .. ~ Kovu |

The game's rather dull IMO, I played till chapter 10 or so, then got bored. Class swap is nice I guess but only matters if you wanna twink your characters out. I'm glad I pirated rather then bought it, else I'd have felt I wasted my money |
