Why not give our own impromptu tournament a try? It may not be the wisest idea since my internet connection is sketchy, but I can probably manage to eek it into my schedule somewhere. Hopefully most of you are aware of FEP's lovely Fire Emblem Tactics. If you're not, please punch yourself in the face and familiarize yourself with it now. It's essentially a very clean and constantly-expanding PvP game based on Fire Emblem dynamics. You make units, outfit them with your earnings, and face off online against other FE fans. Everything's automated -- and as far as I know -- balanced. FEFF currently lacks the progamming finesse to make something remotely like it, so we're going to hi-jack the system.  For our first unofficial tournament, each player is allowed to create eight new characters. They can be whatever classes you wish to choose. Place them under a squad named "FEFF Tournament Team" or something akin to that. You will be able to use six per battle. For the first round, you can't equip these units with anything more powerful than Iron Weapons. Next round you can upgrade them to Steel Weapons. The round after that Silver. The round after that anything they can handle. Etc. We're going to use the Final Destination 2 map. The time limit is 1 day. One player should challenge their opponent to ensure that no one else joins who may not be in the tournament. This tournament is open to eight players, double elimination. Please sign up with your current FEP username. UPDATE: The great SaS has set up an official tournament bracket just for us here! The number of units has been upped to eight, but note that you can also have "rental characters" specifically for the tournament if you don't have enough characters to enter, so if you don't have enough, you don't need to make a bunch. And you don't need to worry about gold either, since you're given separate funds specifically for the tournament.
Since players may need time to acquire gold, this tournament will officially begin Monday of next week. Edited by Crysta, Mar 29 2009, 11:36 PM.
