Staraptor is too awesome a final evolution to not use in-game I didn't :D I hate being unoriginal lol so when I played Diamond I didn't get any of the stereotypical pokes. All of my friends final teams were like, Infernape, Starraptor, Luxray, Garchomp, Empoleon, and Torterra. Literally all of them XD. Mine had random pokes like Lopunny lol

Coxian Posts: 3,432 Group: Veteran Member #308 Joined: July 8, 2005	My team was Empoleon, Rapidash and Luxray. Luxray is too fucking pro to pass up, and Empoleon has resistances out the wazoo. Rapidash was really unnecessary, but she helped out I suppose. Empoleon is easily the best of the three as far as tanking is concerned, considering his only weaknesses are like, Earth, Lightning and Fighting, and he resists almost everything else.

I like him, and used him in my in-game, but he's pretty meh. I used Turtwig as a starter because I like the idea of a giant turtle killing shit violently. Wish I'd picked Chimchar though, Infernape>Empoleon and Torterra.

No, anyway, I'm using Luxray, at least until I can get a Jolteon, because Jolteon has always been my favorite electric-type and its speed is really hard to beat. Staraptor is pretty awesome. Closecombat on a flying type is lol. Infernape's fan-nickname is... what, Infernrape? Its attack is pretty insane. I don't know what I'm talking about, I haven't beaten the Elite Four in Pearl yet because I've spent all that time dicking around or being distracted by other things in my life.

I always end up fighting the elite 4 too soon but I got through fine with Totera <3 yeah, Luxray is pretty meh, but he's kool to me. Mine has decent Special attack and Good speed but hey, that's mine. I don't use Jolteon ever. I give Starmie Thunderbolt and I'm all good.

It takes awhile on the first save, so after that, saving regularly should only take 10 or 15 seconds for a normal save if that, then about 15 or so seconds for a longer save. And whats with all the hate on Pomyta? Mine hasn't even evolved yet and is almost already in the triple digit attack stat, with solid stats all around. Plus the speed makes Rapidash a killer. Luxray's nothing special in competitive battling, but who gives a shit? this is about the in-game, and Luxray rocks with Spark and Bite/Crunch. Dark and Lightning are such good offensive moves for the in-game and Lux has so much Attack, he's taking everything he hits for super effective down in one hit, easily. I actually did use Ponyta in my team, but realized after a while she isn't very good. Her primary offensive stat is attack, and she can't get a good fire type physical attack until Flare Blitz, at level 56 which is around the Elite 4 already. She can do alright with Flamethrower until then (which, by the way, you have to teach her via a TM that you work your ass off for at the slots) and Bounce is okay, but scary accuracy, no STAB, 5 PP and the fact that you don't learn it 'til 49 make it not very good. It did help me kill Heracross in the Elite 4 though.
