I said this earlier, but no unit has an general advantage. Edward (thats the shitty sword dude, right?) may have been a good choice against Axes, but what about Lances? WTA works both ways. It increases the strategic options in the game. And the game being pure-stats is boring. Might as well play the game by simply rolling a bunch of RNGs at the beginning, look at them, and imagine units moving around, its faster that way.

Without the Weapon Triangle the game is pure stats which takes away some of the fun.
