I was making the point that Congress isn't going to declare war. The only they Congress has done that is remotely similar is telling the President "Sure, you can bomb those guys if you want." So that puts the initiative back onto Obama, to rally to Israel's defense. The same Obama who has gone around the Middle East, apologizing for past actions of the US. Do you honestly think Obama would take us to war, against Iran on behalf of Israel, when his entire base would crucify him that?

I know it sounds crazy and people usually say "oh please" when the word "draft" comes up but I don't think being gay gets you out of it anymore o___o . thankfully, I have oher things to fall back on, lol.

I'm sorry, that's just kind of dumb.. but regardless, I have faith in our government system, and enough faith in Obama even to think that we'll avoid this kind of mess. In fact, I think this whole idea is unreasonable. Isreal is pretty bamf, and the only reason we're allies with them is so we can keep Iran in check without getting our hands dirty. As far as I'm concerned, if Iran even tinkers with nuclear weapons that shit is getting bombed by Israel. I think you're underestimating the military strength and resources of Isreal too.

I'm not underestimating Israel. I know how rape they are, as I'm good with history. They've kicked plenty of ass and care a lot about their military (they have to, look at what they're surrounded by). I think that, one vs one, Israel would easily crush any other nation in the Middle East. The problem is that they would all gang up on Israel because it's the only fully democratic nation with a lot of non-Muslims in it.
