Owain isn't as much of a stereotypical axehead like the prince is, though he does have his moments of buffoonery when he's intoxicated (which often happens when he's stressed out). Being the oldest of his squad comes with it's perks and it's burdens. Biography: Much of Owain's somberness stems from the untimely death of his daughter, Delyth, at the hands of an incurable childhood disease. His wife, unable to handle Owain's downward spiral into drunken depression, left him shortly afterward and hasn't been seen since. After he returned to his senses, thanks to finally getting his ass kicked by Noddy, he began to put his life back together and returned to Verdane's military. He and Cordelia grew close as they ascended the ranks and struck up a romance which was the talk of the court for a year, before it abruptly ended. Gossip and rumors about why they broke up spread like wildfire, but whatever the reason was, the two remained close friends. Along with Cordelia, he was assigned to be the prince's body guard and adviser, though his advice is often ignored (though always appreciated).
