While Grandbell's king seeks to start wars, Lazarus wishes to stop them. A pacifist, Lazarus enjoys spending his time relaxing in the tranquility of nature while reading books. He firmly believes that every life is precious and that no human being has the right to take the life of another. Despite this, Lazarus has an innate affinity for light magic and is rumored to be strong enough to kill Brahms. But because of his disdain for violence, Lazarus refuses to do it, believing that there is still some good left in Brahms. Biography: Lazarus was born in Grandbell. His family were devout followers of the gods. Both he and his four younger siblings were raised to pray to the gods each day and be thankful for anything they received, no matter how small. But for whatever reason, Lazarus was blessed with a natural gift for light magic and a longer lifespan than the average human. The reason for this is something that has eluded Lazarus for all his life as he continues to find out why he was born like this. Eventually Lazarus was offered a position to act as the king of Grandbell's advisor. Living for over two hundred years meant that he had over two hundred years worth of knowledge that the Grandbellian royal family would put to good use. The number of conflicts that faced Grandbell that had peacful resolutions because of Lazarus' silver tounge are countless. He was eventually made Grandbell's official diplomat who spoke to foreign countries on behalf of the king. When Brahms took over, he kept Lazarus around because he too saw what the royals of Grandbell saw. But while Lazarus was still the voice of the king, Vega was the advisor. Lazarus sees the evil in both Brahms and Vega and the lives that would be lost if they remained in the position they are in now. Lazarus hopes to restore Grandbell to the country it once was and maybe save Vega and Brahms' souls in the end. |
