I've never actually watched Twilight, but I have heard the books are far better than the films. I've read the first Twilight book. Even if it did occupy a few hours of a thirty-hour bus journey, I'm still not sure it was worth it. |

This is a lie. The books are far from the worst Mary Sue material out there (seriously, it's pretty bad), HOWEVER, it is remarkable that something this terrible in concept, plot, and writing has gone as far as it has. Indulging fantasies is apparently more appreciable than actual literary value these days. Twilight and its succeeding novels are guilty of that most odious of literary crimes, purple prose. And it is quite evident, if not obvious, that the author, while writing the book, must have been masturbating on at least one occasion while describing the absolute perfection and unearthly beauty of an otherwise dull and unlikable spheroid of angst and self-loathing. tl;dr: twilight sucks. |

but they're more like brutish vampires. they're not classy and don't cause pain by just looking at you. one thing though...I didn't read the book but Im sure that anyone reading ANY part about a person turning into a wolf or warewolf would've imagined something more ferocious and sinister looking |
