The production values are quite amazing and it managed to make the whole setting very convincing in live action. I have no doubt that a Halo film would look as good, if not better.

Like some new aged, lazily animated, poorly detailed marvel movie spin off like they did for the hulk and thor.... I had such high hopes for it. I just hope they get a great director for the movie, if or when it comes out I mean. also, saved up a bunch of change and now I know what to use it for! ODST bitches. I'm sure I'll suck at it at first ('cause I'm impatient with stealth and shit) but I can't wait to play it.

Japanese anime does not equal to American film, for better or for worse (it varies depending on what it is). The Halo anime announced does certainly look like they've Jap'd up (aka fagged up) a lot of the Halo setting by making it far more fantastical and stylized than it already was. It doesn't help that they're mixing CGI and cel digimation horribly, which is by far my biggest gripe. But that's for another thread. ODST drops this week.

Hates following trends. Posts: 40 Group: FEFFer Member #2,317 Joined: September 25, 2009	ODST looks just like a watered-down version of Halo 3. The gamelpay is the exact same - No, scratch that, the game in most aspects is the same. The only differences is you get three/four extra maps so you don't feel like you've wasted anything, you get a new, just-as-exciting storyline that's reminiscent of Halo 3 in one too many ways, and you're an ODST troop - not a Spartan, just a regular ol' ODST troop. Big deal, if I wanted to play as a regular run-of-the-mill fighter, I'd stick to the selection of other games on the market, thank you very much. This is just Bungee's chicken-shit attempt at getting the gaming crows excited to the point of slitting their knees, for Halo Reach. Now I can tell that Reach looks epin, as was Halo 3. I'm just really disappoint at the content of the ODST pack - it's just diluted Halo 3. It's almost exactly like getting a Cola, and you're waiting to drink it. But as soon as you go to take a sip after half an hour, you realise the ice has all melted and has made the cola weak. I mean, it's still cold and can be enjoyed, but it just cut down your expectations. Would you like fries with that dissapointing Cola... Urhm, I mean ODST?
