So every once in awhile, I go through the forum and be a huge jerkwad. I was raising eyebrows at a few units' attack speeds in the arena, so I went through and did a massive check of every unit in the RPG. Here are the units that have AS problems (due to not having enough strength to equal the weight of their weapons. Remember, we use STR instead of CON to determine AS...for some reason...)

We raised Weapon weights for physical weapons not too long ago. I assume it's because people havent updated with those changes. We need to poke people to change that. Btw Iron weapons shouldnt lower AS ever IMO. |

Ugh I forgot some people had sucky strength. We should lower the iron weapon weights by 2 or 3.

Some of those aren't basic weapons, but I agree with Hako that Iron and basic-tier weapons shouldn't lower AS. Would that mean you'll be altering the unit shells from the character creation, or is this just up in the air at the moment? |

Zoey's stats aren't updated because she was in a battle when we increased weapon weights, and I was going to do that after. (Um, I was assuming this stuff doesn't suddenly apply mid-battle.) Also, I am POSITIVE she didn't lose weight when I first made my characters. I double-checked. Pretty sure iron swords didn't weigh 6 either, because Kettrick didn't have 6 STR at creation. ...And yep, I'm right. Here are the basic weapon stats from the character creation topic:

Joy. Yeah, If i remember from the announcement it was primarily special weapons and the more advanced ones that had WT increase while magic tomes got a slight decrease. Hmmm..,I think the weapon weight for anything but iron is fine really. I mean, ranged melee weapons aside from bows are supposed to be restricting at lower levels since STR=Con in our rpg system. IF they didn't, then some other units would be able to run around crushing stuff with the more powerful weapons and unbalance things. |

It's been corrected. Heal's remained the same, though. If you ever lose AS due to Heal, your strength sucks balls. It's 2 wt. |

Since alot of Magic bases have 1 Str after skills, I'd say we should just make Heal have 1 Str, honestly. Healers dont need Str till after promotion, so forcing them to put points into it just to not lose AS seems a little... unfair. |

Should I make the tomes lighter, then, too? All 1? Because units with staves only are going to be increasingly rare, and it's = to the weight of the anima tomes. There will be mages and shamans with AS deductions if they take a skill. Edited by Crysta, Sep 18 2009, 07:32 PM.

No, there wont be. Because people arent used to Staves affecting weight. They'll expect, as it has been before this Rpg, for Staves to effectively be weightless. Mages of all sorts will know they need Str for their tomes. |
