So I've been bullied a lot when I was younger and in high school so I'm kinda glad this girl got smacked back with the law. I'm not sure if there is a longer and more detailed article out there but isn't the school supposed to take care of the situation before it got so bad that the bullied girl would need a restraining order? Where the hell were the teachers, the principle, and those people that monitor the school? I guess the question that I'm asking is is this just right? Should the bully face even more severe punishment or less? Should the faculty have done more on their part to insure the bullied girl's safety? personally, I wish she was put in a place where she got bullied so she would know what it feels like, but I guess this will have to do |

I think you forgot to post the article  But yeah, I think it's good that the girl who was bullied got something out of it, since the faculty at her school obviously washed their hands of it. While I do believe the teachers and other staff in the school should have been doing more about it (From what I hear), bullying happens everywhere though, and I don't really think it's quite possible to put a complete stop to it. That's not to say we shouldn't try. Afterall, sometimes the bullied ones turn psycho later. |

honestly, nearly every school rule violates our right to self defense given to us in the US by law. I've had to take quite a few punches in my time in high school, with the staff luckily being competent here. But it annoys me that if I fight back, I get punished equally. I could shot a man with a gun in defense off of school if my life was in danger, but if I'm getting my face smashed into a wall, I have to take it? It violates common sense and federal law. Escalation my ass, they are encouraging bullying. Luckily the one time I did fight back, and it was obvious I was innocent, when the school tried to punish me and barely punish the kid that started it, my lawyer for a dad threatened to sue the kid for assault/battery, and to sue the school for neglect and misconduct. That old principal shut up pretty quick. |

wtf That's not something to brag about, nor is it in the slightest bit funny. That's someone's mother. Not to mention the fact that you think that that was the answer to your prayer. But I'll leave that for another topic. |

I'm on the bully's side, in regards to Laharl. I've long believed that pre-teen/teenage girls are some of the most evil beings on the planet, and it disturbs me that they're also getting physically violent in lieu of tearing asunder the self-esteem of their hapless victims. The restraining order is fine.

 I dealt with my share of bullies. Violently. That said, if schools nowaday are anything like they were then, the students can't be watched every minute of every day. I also know that a chewing out or mundane disciplinary actions sometimes don't work with particularly determined browbeaters. The restraining order is perfectly justified. |

Oh I've had a few bullies. Oh those were the days. More often then not I was thrown out of school for a few weeks along with the bully, mainly because my method was "Excessively violent." Hell even when I wasn't the one being bullied, I beat the shit out of any of them. But now that I can be charged as an adult... That method doesn't work as well. |
