I also think that CoD should have been retired after CoD3, so I agree with both sides sorta.

Just saying, I find them a little...distasteful, well...ever since I found out some veterans are really offended by them and I never gave it any thought before I heard about this guy

If the developers didn't have the balls to strike out and find another publisher (in this case, Electronic Arts), then BR�TAL LEGEND would have never been born. In fact, those cockbites at Activision tried to block the release of the game after qq'ing that they had 'lost significant resources' on its development after they PURGED THE PROJECT from their schedule.
