Not sure if this should be here or in gaming, but it's more a question/discussion. Essentially, I bought a game from Gamestop online since, for some reason, it was being delayed in stores for nearly two weeks, and I had 45 dollars roughly in credit there. So I got the game and got overnight shipping, got it basically a day after it actually shipped, and I was a happy camper. Now I check on the website, and see it had a $10 dollar price drop, and it just got in stores near me. This annoys me that since, due to stupidity, I had to spend roughly $25 extra dollars on the game and shipping, and now they do this. I haven't talked to anyone but I plan to call the store tomorrow and check. Does anyone have any advice from a similar experience with any products of any kind, and how did you deal with it? And should I make a (relatively) pissy fit deal over this, seeing how 20 dollars means a lot of ramen noodles for my college days to come that I'm kind of saving for, and I like $20 bills. |

Time is money and money is power. So, of course my ultimate goal is to have power over time

I guess you could sorta throw a hissy fit about it and mention that you frequently shop there. Also mention the someone told you (or the site) said the game would be delayed. They might not buy it and tell you "too bad" but if it all goes well they might just give you store credit or a discount on the next game you buy. Also, remember to ask for the manager before you even talk to anyone else about it. If you talk to cashier about it he might try to turn you away and if you refuse, he might tell the manager a bunch of bullshit before he even gets a chance to see you. Or I guess you could see if there is a return policy you could use and see if you could get your money back and then later buy the game at the discounted price, but I'm sure they've already had a shitload of scenarios like that and discontinued any sort of return policy that allows you to do so. I remember I did that with Best Buy, but I didn't open the game yet.... It was like 40 when I bought it, heard it was being sold for 20 or something the next day and the person I talked to gave me a refund according to the amount on my receipt. I might've just been lucky that day but I did stick to my story and didn't show any signs of backing down. If I learned anything from my mom it is to be a resiliant shopper

I think you're basically shit out of luck :/ I can't see them really caring about your story, since, you chose to have overnight shipping and pay the extra money, and you chose not to wait... I mean you can always try though, just be aware they'll probably turn you away |

I don't care about the shipping, but it's still like, $12 not including shipping when they did that. |

I'm afraid Kaz's right. Most gamestores will probably tell you that you should've been patient, that you paid extra for the privilege of getting it RIGHT NOW. my brother's like that, except he doesn't care about spending extra lol. he also never wants to buy used, even if it's complete and in good condition. it's proper annoying how impractical he is. |

Did you keep the receipt? You could theoretically just exchange what you bought (for the price you bought it at - of course you eat the shipping) and then buy a new copy at the reduced price? If you didn't keep the receipt: sucks buddy. |

I have a copy of the receipt I through my email. I don't care so much of the shipping, but with tax included I easily paid an extra $12 without shipping, which may not seem like a whole lot, but it still annoys me. |
