I was talking with a friend over the weekend and it saddened me to hear that she has to get coal and wood EVERY DAY from the outside to put into the coal stove in order to keep her two-story home warm throughout the night. It also made me thankful to be where I am now and to count my blessings.

It's not too bad here in Michigan, we're supposed to get an ice storm overnight, but then the temp is supposed to go up to 50 tomorrow.
