ostrich2 -- Jul 20 2008 Some more pictures: First visit was with Hyde:  Taking Hyde out for a walk:  Handling these birds takes a lot of work and is a real challenge - if he decides to bate Hyde can be a powerful bird:  Pimu's enclosure:   Majestic Pimu:  Waiting for Pimu to claim her lunch:  Pimu headed back to her favorite perch:  Oh if only I had managed to click the shutter about 1/10th of a second later this would have been a perfect shot, as Pimu comes down for more pork:  Pimu claims her fish:  You'll have to view the full resolution version to see him - but K-70 is visible over the ridge soaring: K-70 Soaring click on the photos to enlarge |
