Hmmm, interesting ideas JC...I'd be interested in helping you, but certainely not in completing your script...I'm not a very good writer you see.  Anyway, I could help with some screenshots, especially because I'm planning on starting a new KOTOR 1 game, using scarface.  Unfortunately I only have the PC version. I could also come up with some ideas for some new characters and I was thinking of a new Jedi character, one of the Padawans that appears at the end of the game, during the LS celebration. But that's only if you go LS. Last, but not least, I could help with photoshoping some of the screenshots, but nothing too complicated as I'm not that good with photoshop. |

Glad to have you aboard. And I am planning LS, but it will be more bittersweet, kind of like the cut DS female ending (in which PC kills Bastila and stays on the Star Forge to die with Carth). It won't be exactly like that of course, but it won't be as cheerful as K1's ending. A Jedi character sounds great. I think Mulletman is one of the Jedi in the celebration scene (if your PC isn't him), so you could use him. And most of the image editing will just involve putting in the dialogue, so it shoudn't be too difficult. One thing I can do with the PC for more angles is use the warp codes to have Carth with Nik aboard the Endar Spire, and to have three party members on Taris: Nik, Carth, and the camera man. As for me, I'm off to get KOTOR 1 & 2, as well as Photoshop, to put on my new computer. See you all later, and expect more from this project soon. I'll continue to work on the script, and post any pages of the comic I have already. |

Good news everyone! I went down to my other house and got all my stuff, including KOTOR 1&2 and Adobe Photoshp 2.0, which actually works on Vista! YAY! I couldn't find some other stuff I wanted, like my old outline for my movie attempt, or my deck of Pazaak cards. (PM me if you want to learn how to make one. It's fairly easy!) Anyway, I put all my old screenshots and comic pages on my flash drive, so here are a few. Note, these are all first drafts, and I plan to redo most of them, as the bublles are kind of big and block the characters' faces, and there's at least one typo. Plus I've written up more dialogue. Take notice of the dialogue. A lot of it is from the game, but just as much is original. And in some cases I've shortened it. I'd say that it's about fifty-fifty. Here's some of the new dialogue: Gadon: I might be able to help you with this…if you’d be willing to help us. We both have something to gain here…and much to lose. Carth: I don’t make it a habit to deal with gang leaders. Gadon: I’m not some common thug. You don’t understand these streets. Being in a gang is the only way of staying alive. Carth: But if there weren’t any gangs, there wouldn’t be any gang wars. Gadon: Man never has trouble finding ways to kill. Gangs or no gangs, the Lower City is a battlefield. And we are its soldiers. You of all people should understand, Captain Onasi. Nik: You Twitch? Twitch: That’s me. Nik: What are the Sith guarding? Twitch: The Under-city. Carth: Why? Twitch: Why do the Sith do anything? Nik: I’m not playing, bug-eye! Twitch: I'm with the Exchange! No one messes with Davik's men. Not anyone who wants to live! Nik: Oh yeah? My friend Carth here fought in the Mandalorian Wars. He’s killed men three times your size…with his bare hands. Twitch: Do your worst. There’s over a dozen witnesses. Nik: And Davik doesn’t like witnesses, right? Carth: Hold on, soldier, maybe the Rodian’s right. We can sort this all out when the Sith arrive. Nik: I’m sure they’d like to know that there’s an illegal alien in the heart of the upper city, wouldn’t they Carth. Carth: I don’t know, Nik. I’ve heard grim stories about Sith interrogations. They say the Force can do terrible things to a mind. It can wipe away your memories, destroy your very identity. Twitch: All right! All right! Escape pods. The Stih are guarding the escape pods. Nik: Escape pods… As for screenshots, I have some all the way up to freeing Bastila, but I could always use more angles. I have none, however, from the swoop race. If someone has a podracer game I'd appreciate some screenshots. Concerning the script, I've written all the way up to the conversation with Canderous. I could really use another writer, either to help me finish the script for Ep I or start for Ep II. To JK24 and anyone who wants to help edit images: I can email you the shots I have, as well as the script so far, just let me know. To non-writers who have story ideas: I'd be happy to hear them! I need at least one more original character. I'm thinking another Jedi or Republic soldier, as I've already made a mercenary bounty hunter, a Duros named Trask (Sound familiar?  )He's the announcer for the swoop race, and also the pilot of the Ebon Hawk (same guy locked in Davik's estate). He shows up again on the Unknown World, and will be involved in the plot there. I got the idea as the Duros prisoner was the alien you saved from a Sith patrol (LS). I scrapped the Sith partol thing for time, but I kept the idea for the character, as there were Duros on Lehon and in KOTOR 2. Here's his first scene: Nik: I’m Nik Starfall, for the Hidden Beks. Trask: Nik. Nik Starfall. Name of great legend. Much will come of you, yes? Nik: Am I going to win the race? Absolutely. Trask: Yes, yes. That what they all say. (Swoop race) Trask: Present the prize to great winner of season opener, Nik Starkiller! Nik: *Starfall* Trask: Yes, right. Name of legend. Nik Starfall! Here is your prize, oogily moogily Republic slave girl. Nik: Bastila… Brejik: Hold it right there! That Bek swooper is a cheat! Nik: You’re a liar, Brejik! And a traitor as well. Everyone here knows it! Brejik: Don’t talk to me like that, you damn greasy swooper! It's the truth! He used an illegal prototype accelerator to win the race. Because of this treachery, the Black Vulkars are withdrawing their share of the prize. Trask: That go against tradition! No gang take back prize. Brejik: I am the leader of the Black Vulkars! No swoop trash like you can tell me what to do with my property! Bastila: I think I should have a say in this matter, Brejik. Brejik: What? You were under heavy sedation! Bastila: You underestimate the strength of a Jedi’s mind, Brejik. A mistake you won’t soon live to regret. Brejik: Vulkars! Kill the Jedi! Kill the swooper! Kill them all!!! Nik: Oh, not again! I can't help you in the image department, but, I'd like to help you with ideas for dialogue, and original characters (I've got plenty of ideas for those). Most of the OC's I come up with are based off books, especially Tom Clancy. Some will be Republic Soldiers, Sith soldiers, and so on. |

Well, I need plenty of help there as well. I'll email you the dialogue I have so far. Glad to have you aboard. Also, I've had a major setback today: I can't install KOTOR. I'm working on a solution, but if I can't find one then the comic will be set back a few months. I'll focus on the script for now, so that progress should even out in the end. However, now for dialogue I'm relying on memory and original writing. I really need help from those of you so lucky enough to have the game, right now! |

Sure, but first I'll send you what I have as well. I haven't even started Ep II, so if you'd like to start it, go ahead. Basic outline: Battle with sand people on Tatooine, then an invasion led by Darth Bandon. They find the Star Map, basic dialogue there, then get attacked by by Sith Fighters and have to find some place safe. They land on Yavin Station to make repairs, and then head to Manaan. I'll write the trial scenes on Manaan, but the rest of the planet isn't planned, except that Nik has visions of the DS ending. On the Leviathan, I think either Jolee or T3 should save the party, or both. Then, back to Yavin Station. Nik talks with Suvam, who gives him two lightsaber crystals and tells him that "A Jedi's path is marked with great difficulty, and he must go where others cannot follow" or something along those lines. The party then finds that Nik has left the station and gone to Korriban alone. So, I'll send you and Darksaber what I have so far. I just have to format it in the email, as I use Word 2007. |

Uh, look up. There's an automatic email below everyone's post. Just sent it. Sorry it took so long, the email doesn't like tabs or my autoformatting, so it doesn't matter if you have Word 2007, as the email doesn't, so I had to go through EVERY LINE and fix it. Oh well. IF you could pick up from there (Davik's Estate), and kind of keep the feeling that I'm going for, sort of part mystery with a few jokes thrown in, then that would be great! Basically, it's a clean slate from here on, except that Trask gives the party the flight codes to the Ebon Hawk after Nik frees him. Oh, and a few gramatical things ahead of time, so I don't have to edit later. I've limited Bastila's use of contractions, to make her sound more "civilized". Mission and others have more of a dialect, and I think you can tell that Trask talks in broken English. I'll start working on II, if you can do part of I. Whenever you've got something substantial, email it to me and I'll look it over. Again, thanks! Now, stuff for everyone else: All the alien dialogue in the comic will have << and >> surrounding it. (Crimson Empire did this, and others I think.) I've considered having Zaalbar just growl like the movies and other comics do, but I'm leaning towards "subtitles" like this. Tell me what you think. Now some more semi-spoilers for Ep II: *The GenoHaradan will feature prominently, and will be tied to the Manaan plot. *If you like Trask, we'll be seing much more of him, on Lehon in III and maybe Manaan in II. *Manaan will be much, much cooler than it was in the game, for those of you who didn't like it. *Definitely keeping my "Trial on Manaan" idea. For those of you who don't know, when Nik goes looking in the wrong places, he gets framed for Elassa's murder. But did he do it? I haven't decided, so whatever you've seen on other topics may or may not be true. ("Coy? I'm not being coy...") *Carth is Revan. (Just kidding!  )Oh! I almost forgot!!!!!! What do you all think of Nik Starfall's name? I got it from a Star Wars name generator ( http://www.dimfuture.net/starwars/random/generate.php ). I chose "Nik" as it's short like Luke or Kyle, and Starfall because it's similar to Skywalker (note the "Starkiller" joke as well). Again, I swear I didn't rip off Logan's last name. You'll never get me to talk!!! <_< |

Thanks! Alright, I'm starting a tradition. Every time I post here, I'll give some semi-spoilers. ***Be warned! Spoilers for KOTOR if you haven't played!*** That's the last time I'll warn you. Semi-spoiler # 1 - Episode II *OK, I said that Atton would appear. I'll give you one last clue: It's on Manaan. Didn't expect it, did you? I told you Manaan would be cool! *Nik will NOT be going underwater to find the Star Map. This is subject to change if there are objections. Instead, Bastila will go as a last blaze of glory (well, second to last) before she leaves the party. *There will be several clues as to Nik's secret. Two characters that will hint to it are Darth Bandon on Tatooine and Hulas on Manaan (I told you the Genoharadan would be important.) *This one's similar to Kaydon's Ep II (from what I've seen) but it's expected: Nik will be using the Force in an un Jedi-like manner. Jolee will defend him, though. When Bastila talks back, he drops his hillarious line "You know what the problem is with the youth of today? They're young!" Also, I'll be adding the "let's fool with the old man's head" quote somewhere. Want more? Then post here more often! Every time I respond, I'll give more spoilers. |

Carter, could you please send me your script so far and the shots you currently have...I might be able to take some screenies as I'll start playing KOTOR today with scarface, just tell me from which areas or planets would you like me to take...I'm not too sure I could take screenshots before he gets to Dantooine though, as he's not wearing the armor you have Nik in...btw, what robes are you planning on giving him? |
