OK, aside from planets and PC, what would you like in KOTOR 3?

Here's a few of mine, in no particular order:

*Customizable or multiple saber hilts
*More personal items; every Jedi should have a custom saber and robes.
*More romances (like K2 was supposed to have); 2 per gender.
*Multiple endings; allows for replayability
*Grey mastery; allows for the above, plus lots of people want to be grey, and can't as they won't get Visas or a prestige class in K2, or useful side specific items. Some Grey only items would be neat as well, such as Jolee's robe in K2 (I never got it, but it's out there).
*NO more saber colors. 5 was enough for me; 10 is more than enough. And definitely NOT black; it doesn't exist.
*Party members that die or leave part way through the game
*More LS/DS and M/F only party members
*Optional party members; have one or two slots open and then maybe six recruitable characters to pick from. Allows for replayability.
*If there are any droids, then ONLY HK and T3 (no G0-T0 or Remote)
*Influence, but easier to understand the first time
* Along with [Persuade] and [Force Persuade], a [Bribe] option for most conversations, that will recquire checks on awareness, as well as credits.
*Robes with hoods that you can put on/take off (a lot of people suggest this)
*I like the Hawk, but a new ship might be nice, maybe a few to choose from.
*A canon Revan and Exile appearance/voice, but I know Leeland Chee doesn't want this (and he's the one that got the Exile to be female).
*Maybe upgradeable swoops will FINALLY get into the game (was cut from K1 and K2). Oh, and make it so that you can actually win (K2 was impossible without glitching, which was impossible on PC).
*NO more glitches. One or two I can accept. Even a dozen small ones, but not an infinite amount! I know, it wasn't Obsidian's fault. Don't blame them.
*Give us a lightsaber early, but not too early. (Hint: K2 was way too late, even for me. And I like pre-lightsaber levels.)
*I liked the 'play as a different character' part of the game, but others didn't. So use sparingly. For example, cut smaller ones like the protocol droid on Telos, Mira on Malachor V; keep bigger ones like Mira and T3 rescuing the Exile, as well as cinematic ones like Atton vs. Twin Suns, and multi-part battles like the one on Dxun.
*Obsidian did a great job with classes, but here's one suggestion (for PC only): Have all six classes available at start; Soldier, Scout, Scoundrel, Guardian, Sentinel, Consular. The first three classes will have fewer Force points and powers (very little), but more feats and skills. For a bonus, players who start as a non-Jedi can upgrade to Jedi and then Prestige; Jedi can get a Prestige at same time.
*Have a prestige class available for Jedi party members, but REALLY late in the game.
*A maximum of one character to train as a Jedi (maybe twol). I suggest it be one of the gender/alignment specific ones.

If I think of more, I'll add later. I'd like to hear your ideas as well.

EDIT: Renaming topic so it will make sense in a non-K3 forum. VADAKIN!!!!! *shakes fist* :P

well like you said customizable hilts and robes with "real" hoods would be great. And I agree that the only droids in the party should be HK and T3. As for party members, I'd like 2 or 3 new ones, 2 from K1 and 2 from K2, one of them being a Lost Jedi(Bao, Atton, Brianna, Visas, Mira). Maybe one of the Lost Jedi could be your master, and depending on the class you choose you can get either Bao-Dur or Brianna for Guardians or Atton, Visas or Mira for Sentinels and maybe D*****e for Consulars. :D And please don't get rid of the Hawk...sure it should've been scrapped at Malachor, but the Hawk is what the Falcon is for the movies.

EDIT: Oh, and I'd definetely like to see what happened to Revan and The Exile.

Of course, all of what you mentioned, except a few:

1. NO MORE D-----E! But I like the idea of a different master for different classes. Again, replayability!
2. Bao-dur is supposed to die in K2, in case you didn't know. And I never bought that he was Force-sensitive, but that's just me.
3. I love the Hawk. It's the most well-designed ship I've ever seen (beats the Falcon 'cause it isn't bigger on the inside). It has character, a few secrets, and plenty of room for a large party. Others are tired of it, but I suspect it will show up anyway. If not as your ship, than as the Exile's when you meet her.

A few things I forgot:

*Personal abilities for every party member, such as "Assassination Protocols" for HK.
*More feats. The ones added in K2 were great. More would be nice.
*More Force powers, but useful ones. Definitly a third tier for Drain Life/Death Field.
*Have Battle Meditation as specific to one character, or for Jedi Sentinels only. It was so rare in K1, and then Your entire party could have it in K2.
*No more space walks. The one on Leviathan was a bit of a stretch, especially after Manaan. The ones in K2 were just too much, because of K1. If there must be another, then have only one. Also, there are a lot of glitches associated with them.
*Medical station (or whatever it was called) on the Ebon Hawk! I never got one, but it might have been a glitch, as I never got Jagi in K1, even though I always talked to Canderous.
*Speaking of Mandalorians, only have them on one or two planets. They were EVERYWHERE in K1. K2 had the right amount.

That would be some pretty neat stuff.
Emotion, yet peace.
Ignorance, yet knowledge.
Passion, yet serenity.
Chaos, yet harmony.
Death, yet the Force.

You're tellin' me! B)

And a few others:

* A more diverse crew. In K2 everyone save for Bao-dur and maybe Hanhaar was human. They were all white as well, except for Visas. (Not counting the droids, of course.)
*More saber duels. One of the things that made K2 so easy was that there were very few lightsaber duels. Any of those Sith Assassins could have had one.
*More of the Exchange, maybe show its downfall.
*Same with Czerka, though it lasted beyond the movies.
*As JK24 said, some of the same party members as K1/2 (If they're alive.) I'd suggest maybe Bastila and Carth, and any of the four Jedi who confront Traya (Brianna, Visas, Atton, Mira).
*No more of these "man with no name" characters. What gives? We have the Exile, D-------e, Handmaiden, Mandalore...pretty soon we're gonna have Republic Officer, Jedi, Droid... :P . Though all the ones I mentioned all have names (except the Exile), their names are mentioned a grand total of one times.
*On that note, find some sneaky way to give the PC an established name, like K1 did. We can't have "the Student" as a character, now can we?
*And on that note, a major plot twist!

I thought that K2 did a fairly good job with that; Power, Flurry, and Critical Strike were all pretty even. There weren't many saber fights, though.

If you mean that one hit should kill, then go get that mod that ups the stats of blasters and sabers, as well as many other things. It's on KOTORfiles.

EDIT: One thing I forgot: Pazaak! And I liked how on Nar Shaddaa you could beat all of the players without actually playing (though DS was required for some). I don't think any more cards are necessary, though.

Well, I did like that +1T card that allowed to you to win a tie. I think they should allow you to remove the cloak when you're gonna fight a big duel, and allow you to say something to you opponent before you fight.

That sounds cool; there's a cutscene before the bosses anyway.

And yeah, the k2 pazaak cards were cool; I meant no more new ones for K3. +/-1T was really useful, and so were the 2/4 and 3/6 ones, with those my strategy was to use all 9 spaces, and it worked almost every time.

I'll mention this one because I mentioned it on the K2 forum. While I liked male/female and LS/DS requirements for party members, it would be nice if after playing both versions the characters would be unlockable, meaning if you didn't like D-------e you didn't have to take him if you were playing as a female PC.

Also, more than one location on each planet. It would be nice if there were two or three different cities on each, maybe some you didn't have to go to for the main quests. Another Yavin Station would be nice as well; there was no place in K2 where you could buy high-end items. Also, the randomly generated shop items really annoyed me; have at least half of the store's inventory set permanent, and then the other half randomly generated. And the same goes for containers and such; there should be a few items that are not randomly generated. Lightsaber crystals and Force armor were essential to K2, but they were also randomly generated, and you just had to get lucky.

-CPU's need to quit ripping me off when it comes to selling items I didn't want. I would go to sell onee, but then I'd see the price they were selling it for was double the price I sold it. It made wake up in the middle of the night and yell "KOTOR!"

-Each character should have a defined wardrobe that allows them to stand out when wearing the same armor as another character.

-Suggestive party members for each planet. When you gain a lot of influence with a certain person, then they would suggest they accompany you when you go to a planet. However you would still be able to pick anyone you wanted at with no backlash.

-A favoured ally. Basically it would be the first party member you gain, and he would be a sort of childhood friend or something. It'd allow for some interesting conversations aswell as altercations with other party members.

-Better battle sequences. Instead of having every battle act the same, each enemy classes would fight differently. Easy enemies would fight in a basic manner, making it slighty easy for your character to rape them. As you progressed your character weapon skill would increase but so would the enemies. This would allow 'boss' battles to seem more cinematic.

-A past character. It'd be nice to see a familiar face, and it'd be even better to have a mentor character that was old enough to be taken seriously, and stuck with you all the way through.

Nice suggestions. I especially like the suggested party members one. That would work well if characters had a bonus quest, like with Sunry's Trial you needed Jolee on Manaan. And I agree that different characters should have different appearances. And yeah, there was definitely price goughing involved in KOTOR. That's one reason I say have another Yavin Station; Suvam always gave you more cash than the other guys.

And improving battles is always cool.

One thing I forgot, one of my favorites:

The ability to group common items together, like blasters or clothing, so that you can sell 50 at once, or just to save space. There would be folders for armor, blasters, melee weapons, lightsabers (crystals as well), etc. And you could create your own folder for junk that way you could sell or break it apart in a workbench all at once.

Also, there should be more party member interaction. There was a good amount in KOTOR II, but I would absolutely love if it became more 3 Dimensional, instead of the on-occasion completed quest spurred cinematic.

Another thing, is that I would love to actually be invovled with the Republic. In the past two games it was more about the Jedi, but you never really got onto terms with the republic. Of course the goal has always been to save the republic (For lightside anyway) but you never interacted with the Republic.

There was supposed to be a lot more interaction in K2 (cut). It was supposed to happen every time you went aboard the Hawk.

And from what I've heard, I think K3 is going to be about Jedi again, but I'd love some more Republic stuff. The Mannaan quest was neat, and there was supposed to be a "Finding Fuel for Telos" quest in K2. And the Battle of Telos was pretty cool.

EDIT: Ooo, ooo! Just thought of a really cool one, one that would solve one of the problems in K2.

OK, now most of us are aware that almost all items in K2 were randomly generated, meaning that everythying was luck of the draw. Unfortunately, this included which lightsabers you received for completing certain quests. Because of the random generator, you could wind up with a dozen short sabers that you'd never use, or never get that double-bladed saber you always wanted. Like I said, luck of the draw. While you did get to choose what kind of saber your personal one was, there were still up to six other Jedi in your party.

Now, what's my solution? I say we should be able to use a workbench to change the type of saber. Pretty cool, huh? B)

Here's my idea of how it would work. You run around and eventually get a single saber. You equip that, but it's not impressive enough for you. So, you head over to the workbench, add a few crystals, a new lens and emitter, etc. But you're still not satisfied. Eventually, you find another single saber. So, you upgrade it and take that in your left hand. But we all have our own saber preferences; some like dual sabers, some prefer the double-bladed, and some even like to go with the classical single hilt.

Now, think about it: what's in a saber? Well, there's the color crystal, blade emitter, and lens, the three parts you gave to Bao-dur to make your own saber in K2. Well, you've got two sabers, which means you've got two blade emitters and two lenses, and a double-bladed saber only needs one color crystal. So why can't you fiddle with the parts and put it all together? Well, now you can!

With my plan, you would be able to make two singles into a double, a short into a single, or any combination, with some restrictions. In order to extend a short into a single, you'd need a certain number of components as well. I figure that blade emitters and lenses could be scattered around the game as well, so that you could make a saber from scratch like you could in K2, but you would need a certain amount of components for it as well. Here's how to break them down:

Single saber --> 1 color crystal, 1 blade emitter, 1 lens, 50 components
Short saber --> 1 color crystal, 1 blade emitter, 1 lens, 45 components
Double-bladed saber --> 1 color crystal, 2 blade emitters, 2 lenses, 100 components

And the component cost would vary with repair skill, like in K2.

So, if you've got a single saber and a short saber, you break them down into their parts, add five components, assemble, and hey presto, you've got a double-bladed lightsaber and an extry color crystal. Awesome!

A few things I thought up while cooking up a K3 story...

*All the Lost Jedi from K2 (except Bao-dur, who is dead)...as party members or just other characters. Also, Carth, Bastila, and Canderous. After K2, the galaxy was left in their hands.
*Everyone knows that the True Sith exist. The secret is out. Thus, all the above people should be rallying for the Republic to shape up and defend itself. However, there should be an opposition, one that believes that this is just a decoy, just like the Mandalorian Wars were a way for Revan to gain support for his Sith Empire.
*The Jedi Order should be different. All the old masters are dead, and most of their knowledge lost. The founding figures of this new Jedi Order are Bastila and the Exile (throuh her students). Both were always headstrong, and both eventually betrayed the Jedi Order (or rather, the Order betrayed them), so this new Order should not follow the ways of the Old.
*The Ebon Hawk.
*A better influence system. When LS, I could never get two words out of HK or Canderous. They're not pure evil; with each party member, there should be influence opportunities for light, grey, and dark side players.
*Once again, Grey Enlightenment! And a grey ending as well.

- should be able to use the force on objects, i.e pick rocks up or metal objects and throw them at enemies.
-robes with hoods
-finishing moves i.e LIGHT SIDE- you can disarm the opponent by either destroying their lightsaber or cutting off their arm or leg. DARK SIDE-you cut off there hands and then thier head, or in half mahahaha
-prosthetic lims/ scares
-Customize your lightsaber hilt- Change the colour and shape i.e can make them look like count dookus bent lightsaber.
-when you customise the weapons they should actually change, ie blasters should get a scope on top
-sith tattoos/ normal tattoos
-make the penalties for using the opposite force side powers have an greater effect, such as if you use dark side but you are light, make them drag you into the dark side.
-Alot more lightsaber duels
-Force crush and rage should be feats
-no more lightsaber colours, keep green, blue, purple, orange, yellow and of course red and silver
-introduce Dun Moch into it if you are sith
- at the start you should be a padwan to a master, make that master die this will effect you, either make you light sided by facing the facts or push you over the edge and you give into your emotions.
- grey mastery would be good
-can change your name if you become a sith, ie add darth to it
- force power more advance forms you have to be instructored from a master or sith lord
