okay so I recently got the blu-ray version of return to house on haunted hill and it uses technology called navigational cinema and I thought it would be cool to do that on your movie. what do you think?

OK... First, could you explain what: "navigational cinema" is, because this:

doesn't say much to me... How does it work and so on.

I think it would involve the viewer choosing the story.

If you want that, just go play KOTOR again. :P

okay this is how it works: at certain plotpoints a screen will pop up giving you a choice. Here is an example from Return to House on Haunted hill: after Norris is ripped apart a screen pops up saying "should Paul run away?" if yes is chosen in the end it results in Paul's death, however if no is chosen he lives.

Speaking of interactive cinema and KotOR, nobody's been in the Mass Effect topic...

It sounds kinda complicated. How would you even implement something like that? I say just stick to the game if you want to make your own choices.

Well, this is supposed to be a movie, not a video game. We already have a video game to play. ;)

It would be a good idea if Kaydon was rich :P

If it were any other video game to a movie scenario, then this might be a good idea. But with KOTOR it's just dumb. In the game you already choose everything, so it would just be like playing the game if Kaydon were to do that with the movie.

Also, I don't think this will get very big. It may be put as a special feature on some DVDs, but I highly doubt this 'navigational cinema' will get big.

Calm down.

There's a reason that it was on the blu-ray version of the film and not the standard vd version. You just couldn't fit it onto a normal vd, not if you want any kind of decent picture quality.

And no, Kaydon is not going to release the films on Blu-Ray :P
