OLE TROUBLE II X FIDDLE STIX

Posted by Big Ronnie (Business) at Nov 23 2009, 08:58 PM. 3 comments

We got a call today from Mr. Dorian Hootman in Douds Iowa. He drove down from Iowa and picked up his female pup around april. He has one of the pups from Ole Trouble II and Fiddle Stix. This is another one of the litter with the Ole Trouble in his ped. 9 times that is a littermate to Randy Phipps Rascal II pup.Mr. Dorion said his pup was treeing squirrels on her own and was doing good. He said if she don't find a squirrel up close she will venture out to 400 or 500 yards to tree if she had to and was impressed with her venturing out to whatever it took to get treed. Mr. Dorion said she started to treeing at the age of 5 months mostly by site but now she is putting her nose to use and was well pleased with her. This is the kind of calls I like to get on these young dogs. These kind of calls with results like this is what helps you make your mind up about what to do next time around. :) ILIKEIT ..........Big Ronnie

First Squirrel Hunt at 15 years old

Took grandson, hunting for his first time, he always wanted to hunt, but no one would carry him. He came to spend a week, all he wanted, was to go squirrel hunting, deer hunting, so I am going to spend this week, hunting squirrel, deer, coon, and varmint, will see how he likes it.

Tick Bite

Posted by Wildcat (Members) at Nov 22 2009, 03:26 PM. 3 comments

Guys,
I removed a tick from Jake the other day and he has developed a hole the size of a pencil eraser in the spot. Doesn't seem to be bothering him but I have been cleaning it and putting neosporin on the hole. Any suggestions other than what I am doing?

Thanks

Ricky

BILLY JOE MCNABB

Lloyd Herring called me last night to tell me that Billy Joe Mcnabb passed away, I believe yesterday, from a stroke. He was deer hunting up north and had the stroke while in his deer stand.

Billy Joe was a good dog man and just a great guy.

My prayers go out to his family and friends!!
