So, I was at Best Buy with $25 bucks to burn and went to the DS section to see if there was anything good to play on the plane ride back home this weekend and lo and behold I find Moon. I remembered hearing about this game on IGN and they really seemed to be hyping it, but I figured it would be too expensive for me to buy... And yet it was only $19.99 o_O So I bought it, figuring it would suck, and yet it is strangely awesome :D

It's pretty much a copypasta of a Metroid Prime game (I suppose Hunters would be the closest comparison, but that Single-Player sucked <_<). The stroy is spectacular and takes the whole Alien Invasion thing into a different direction IMO. It's long, about 20 hours depending on how good you are (it can get really tough sometimes). Boss fights can sometimes be repeated, but it isn't the awful fights that Prime: Hunters were, they are generally fun. There are 7 weapons and the Remote Access Droid (think Morph Ball), each one is different ranging from Pistol to Sniper Rifle. It looks beautiful, probably the best showing of the DS hardware, but it can get a little bland once you see the same enemy or hallway over and over =/ You can unlock some bonus training missions, as well as replay any mission you have beat, mostly for teh lulz, but maybe for speed runs and stuff it could be fun. There are also a few vehicle sections in between missions, but like in any FPS they suck. There isn't as much exploration as a Metroid game, more running and gunning, but the controls feel tight, albeit a bit difficult at times. The entire game has a bit of a difficult edge to it, there are some easy parts, but some of the boss fights are really challenging, but fun.

Overall, I highly recommend it, it's a great FPS adventure, basically Metroid Prime: Hunters if the single player was actually, ya know, GOOD. It can get bland, but it looks beautiful and controls tightly. It's a long game, and you can replay missions. But here is the best part: It's $20 bucks. Go get this game now, in fact, go buy two copies and give one to your best friend, it's probably one of the best purchases I have made as far as $20 video games go, please do the Developer a favor and get this awesome game!

Here's the official review from IGN.com (got an 8.5 and Editors Choice)

Just as long as it's more epic than MP:H D:, I hated that game.

Oh yea, I actually liked MP:H, even the Single-Player, but this game blows that out of the water. Just remember there is no multiplayer for this game, just single-player.

Well if I hated(yes HATED) Metroid Priime Hunters, not only for its single player, but multiplayer as well, how much will I like it? I enjoy the console MP's though.

If you like Metroid in general (say the Metroid Prime series) you will like this game.
