As many of you know, I got Wii Sports Resort. I will be reviewing each game seperatley, then at the end give it a rating. For seperate games know that I am rating it for a mini game, not a full game. Swordplay Swordplay is probably the most hyped game in Wii Sports Resort. It has 3 different games: duel, speed slice, and showdown. Duel is very easy until you get to about 1000 points. To defend yourself, you hold B and hold the wiimote sideways. To attack, just swing the wiimote. I prefer showdown to duel. In showdown you try to kill all of these enemy fighters who are walking your way. If you get hit a certain amount of times, you lose. Speed slice is pretty self explainitory. The ref will give you and your opponent an object (like a watermelon) and a direction you have to cut in. Whoever cuts it the right way first wins. I give swordplay a 8/10 Wakeboarding In wakeboarding you hold the wiimote sideways and steer by turning the wiimote (like Mario Kart). You are being dragged behind a boat and once you go over waves, flick the wiimotes to do a trick. You try to land the trick and if you do you get points. The game is pretty repetitive and it isn't very challenging. I give wakeboarding a 6.5/10 Frisbee Frisbee is probably the most surprising of the games. I thought this would be one of my most disliked games but it is really one of my favorites. In frisbee dog there is a target and you just try to throw the frisbee by the target so the dog will go catch it. I sounds boring but it is very fun. Frisbee golf is what its called. Imagine golf with a frisbee. There isn't a hole for the frisbee to go into but there is a huge target you try to throw your frisbee too. I have had a BLAST with frisbee. I give frisbee a 9/10 Golf I'm a little biased here. I hate real golf, and I hate the Wii Sports golf. I would have to say I strongly dislike this game. There are 9 new courses and the courses from the first Wii Sports. I find this golf more enjoyable than the Wii Sports golf because of Wii Motion Plus. It makes it feel more realistic. I would have prefered mini golf instead of regular gold though (mini golf FTW). I give Golf a 3.5/10 Bowling Another returing game from Wii Sports. Wii Sports Resort bowling is a little too realistic for my likeing. The curve of the ball seems way to strong. My sister who always got strikes in the original, only gets gutterballs in this game. There is 100 pin mode which is kinda fun. Its like regular bowling except with 100 pins. I consider Wii Sports Resort Bowling a step down from the original. I give bowling a 6/10. Table Tennis This is one of my favorite games. It is much much harder than tennis on Wii Sports. Moving is automatic and you can swing a back hand and a forehand. In Return Challenge mode you just return balls over and over trying to break your high score. Even though there isn't a lot to do in table tennis I still like it. I like that its more challenging than Wii Sports tennis. I give table tennis a 8.5/10 Archery Archery is a hyped up game. It is pretty cool, but in my opinion it doesn't live up too the hype. Archery gets you playing 12 shots on four targets. Once you shoot three times on one target, you move to the next, more challenging target. To play, you hold the Wii remote vertically, hold A, pull back the nunchuk as if it were the line, and release Z to fire. It sounds hard but it is pretty easy. Archery is only decent to me. I give archery a 6/10 Basketball My favorite sport in real life. The first time I played 3 point shooting challenge I didn't make any shots. In 3 point shout out, you grab balls from a ball rack by pressing B and then putting the wiimote over your head and flicking your wrist like in basketball As someone that plays basketball, I do not think it does a very good job of imitating a shot. I guess it does a pretty good job for being a video game though. Once you get the motion down 3 point shooting gets a lot easier. The other mode is pick up mode in where you and 2 other people take on 3 other players. I find 3 point shoot out much more enjoyable. I give basketball a 8/10 Power Cruising In power cruising, you hold the Wii remote and nunchuk like handlebars on a jet ski. Twisting the Wii remote gives you a short-sized boost for an extra burst of speed. Tilting both controllers causes you to turn. The point of this sport is to speed through gates. The faster you go through a gate, the more points you get. Some gates have bonus rings inside them which give double points. There's six courses in all. I hate this game. Turing is very hard and it is very frusterating. I give power cruising a 4/10 Cycling My personal favorite game. In cycling, you race atleast 29 people (some times 50). To pedal you shake the wiimote and the nunchuck but you must be careful You have 3 hearts. When you go to fast you will lose all of your hearts and stop for 10 seconds. Its really fun watching people fall off a cliff. I know a lot of people hate this game but I love it. The control system is kinda dumb but I like it anyways. I give cycling a 9/10 Canoeing Paddle left and right to make your canoe move down the river thing you are on. I dislike playing this game by myself but I think it would be insanely fun with friends. All of your friends paddling and looking like idots? Priceless. I don't have an extra wiimotion plus but on youtube watching the people paddle together is hilarious. I can only rate it from my expierence though. I give canoeing a 5/10 Air Sports The first game you play in Wii Sports Resorts is skydiving. In skydiving you get to view some of the island and get your picture taken with other miis falling out of the plane with you. The more pictures you get the better. It also helps to have more people in the picture. Skydiving gets pretty boring after the first few times. Airplane is much more enjoyable. Fly all over the island and try to collect as many information marks (green I's floating in the sky) as you can. I have yet to play dog fighting because you need two wiimotion plus' to play it. I give Air Sports a 7/10 Wii Sports Resort is really fun. Just because I didn't enjoy a game doesn't mean you won't. There are games for everyone in this game, making it fun to play with friends and family. I give Wii Sports Resort a 8.5/10 I hope you like the review! Ask any questions you might have. |

Meh no offense, but you can't really bash the game. It's understandable to not be interested in it and not buy it. But to bash it for petty reason is kinda lame. |

im thinking of this game for i want to try that golf game. i loved the wii sports' golf game its still my favorite and this one with the motion plus sounds good if your telling me theres 16 courses <3_____<3 |

that's cause youre young hoops. when youre older you'll see the captivating thing of golf. its one of my top things to do in life, to have a proper golf Par 9 on a professional course. :D |
