I gotta say that from all the Wii games I've ever played, this one surprised me the most. A balanced mixture of Animal Crossing type movement, My Life as a King type strategy and Pikmin type combat, Little King's Story is definitely a great Wii game. Gameplay: 9/10. Theres a good reason why this number is so high: simplicity. Remember those old real-time strategies you used to play, where you had to collect the different materials to build stuff? Well Little King's Story kinda does that... in your travels, you send your little workers out to farm/ kill stuff for you, and then you pick up the scraps. The great part? All these scraps are turned into Bol, which you use to buy just about everything. You don't have to fiddle with different materials or stuff like that, you just go get some more Bol. Little King's Story prides itself on simplicity, though, so it doesn't stop there. In this game, you don't have to deal with leveling up your characters or worry about choosing the right job for them and stuff. Say you want your carefree adult to become a soldier. you use the B button to make him follow you, then press the A button to throw him into the soldier buildin. He comes out a soldier, and that's it! Also, unlike with My Life as a King, you don't have to way til TOMORROW to do everything. You can go through the night and onto the next morning, and never sleep until you finish your next objective. Sometimes, your advisor will make you sleep (so he can think of your next move for world domination) but you usually don't have to wait to get things done. You're constantly doing something, whether its hunting for Bol, building your town, or defeating that next boss. Which brings me to the combat system. To describe it in one word (yeah, I'm going to say it again) its SIMPLE. EVERYTHING in this game is simple. Here's an example boss fight: You wanna capture the territory below you, right? So here's what you do. Grab however many soldiers you can hold (depends on if you used a powerup or not). Go toward the boss fight. When you get there, it turns into a little arena. All you do is press the A button to throw your soldiers at the boss. press B button to pull them back in before they get damaged. Simple, but NOT easy. It takes a good amount of strategy of how many to throw and when, and you'll need to be able to read your enemy's pattern to survive. Overall, the gameplay for this game is simple, simple, simple. Possibly one of the simplest RTS type games I've ever played, and its simplicity is one of the games biggest strengths. Controls: 10/10 There's no much to complain about in controls. A does some stuff, B does some stuff, the nunchuck moves you. Oh. Z is a VERY important button. Keep it on, because you'll need the targeting. Graphics: 7/10 The graphics are okay. Nothing special, really. There's some cool effects, and they do exactly what they need to do. Theres no framerate skip, which is good. Sound: sfsd/10 Does anyone really care that much? I didn't pay attention to sound. Just put some music on. Lasting Appeal: Could Vary It depends. You could just beat the game once, and that's it.. in that case, theres not very much lasting appeal for you. Or you could play the mode you get after you beat the game, which is supposed to be a lot harder. It really just depends on what kind of gamer you are, and how much you liked the game originally. Overall: 8/10. The game has its ups and downs, but overall its a pretty solid game. I'm not a fan of the genre and I still liked it, so thats a big plus in my book, if it can turn me over like that. I'm not ognna say GO GO BUY THIS GAME NAO, because some people might not like it. But I know I dd, and I'm gonna be playing it for a while longer. |

I read on other reviews is that there are no checkpoints in the game. so if you died and you had alot of stuff done you go back to the start, is that true? |

i know you can save but i meant autosaves or checkpoints. on site reviews they say there arent none and you have to remind yourself to save, if you turn it off or you die and you forgot to save after being sucked into the game (which can happen alot if you like the game) they said you have to start until werever it was you last saved. |

IR support, in simpler words, is being able to point at the screen and control it that way rather than using like the analog stick. |

I was just curious, cause all the other reviews I read said it'd make it even better(though they already gave it high marks) and if it's similar to Pikmin I could see how it'd benefit. |

Yeah Pikmin worked just fine with out it. I love the music in this game D: it's all classical. I've been watching a gameplay video and it's like I'm watching A Clockwork Orange except not ultraviolent, and no rape. |

People like Hoops probably won't appreciate the music cause there's no lyrics pertaining to bustin' caps or bitches and hoez. |
