Baroque is an action/ adventure/ rpg for the PS2 (now ported to the Wii) which sports an interesting, if at times confusing, concept. Instead of playing the game like a regular linear or open-world game, you enter the same tower over and over, and kill enemies, to figure out the story! Sounds pretty boring, right? Well, keep reading and you'll see that you're wrong.

Story: 10/10
You start off as the Protagonist (yeah, that's your name). You are unable to speak, and you have no memory, except that you did something real bad, and that's why you're going in the tower.

Now, the story is cool and all, like an RPG's story should be, but what's more important is the way it folds out.Every time you enter this tower, you either A) Make it to the bottom and learn some of the story, B ) Die before you get there, also learning a different part of the story, or C) Meet someone in the tower that helps you learn something. Its possibly the wierdest concept I've ever seen in a game, and it can get confusing at times, but overall, it's just cool as hell.

Gameplay: 8/10

The gameplay is alright, though it has its drawbacks. You press A to attack, blah blah blah. Overall its pretty easy, sort of like ToS but slower. The biggest problem I have is the camera, which is responsible for both points lost. It can get pretty annoying at times, and can be the death of you.

Remember what I said about going into the same tower over and over? And how it sounds boring? Well, everytime you go in, the tower's different. At least, as far as floors go. You can pick up different weapons inside and stuff, so it keeps it pretty fresh, though eventually it gets pretty stale.

Graphics: 8/10
The graphics are just so so. They look fine, Its not like there's problems with them or they're pixelated. But theres not much there. It just looks like most normal Wii games.

Sound: 9/10
The sound is cool. Creepy and atmospheric.

Replay Value: Unneccesary/10
This game doesn't fucking NEED replay value. I've looked it up in places, you wanna beat the game once, it should take you about 500 hours to beat the whole game. So, there's a lot of "replay value".

Overall: 8/10

Baroque is a pretty cool game overall, with most of its drawbacks being in the bland combat system, camera, and graphics. If you can get past those few factors, you'll grow to really enjoy this story driven, extremely confusing Atlus RPG.
