Got Swine Flu. Unstable fever, no appetite, body aches, weak coughs that make me want to throw up. Shot a fever Saturday around 3-4 PM. Sunday I went to the doctor (it was obvious that I had the flu, but I needed a doctor's note). Got my nose swabbed twice. First to see if I did have a flu. Came back positive for Influenza A. Second swab was for swine flu. The labs are very backed up so it will take at least a week for the results to get back, but 99% of Influenza A cases are coming back positive for Swine Flu. The doctor prescribed Tamiflu (sp?) since Swine is a form of Influenza A. He said that if you get it started in the first 24-48 hours that it can make the whole thing go a lot easier and faster. The highest my fever has reached is 104F. The worst I've been was Sunday. My current temperature is.... 99.8F? Wow. Yesterday the Ibuprofen didn't help my fever at all, but I suppose it working more today. Sunday was terrible, but today I feel better than yesterday. Though no where near well. |

Get better soon man. Though in reality, the symptoms of swine flu are just about the same as any other strain of flu, so treat it with the same mindset and it won't be so bad. Think of it this way: High fever = Excuse to eat stuff like ice cream. =P Anyways, drink lotsa water, sleep until you're sick of sleeping, and busy your mind with random stuff like movies and games. You'll feel better in no time. |

I really am impressed with the integrity and resolve of these germs. They hit you with a wave as soon as you start to feel well and never give up. Someone's been listening to Libera Me From Hell! |
