I just decided to type this up one night, so bear with me, its just a draft!

And I realise it might be too soon for these kind of things, but I thought it would be cool :D.

EDIT: No longer a draft. I probably should remove that stuff ^^, all of that was from August when I first typed up the history

CHAPTER 1: Humble Beginnings

One day, a guy named Evan decided to start a club for the new Mario Strikers game coming out for the Wii. He got this idea from his other club, The Daily Game Club (for DS, and that club is believed to be dead or inactive I think...). On the night of July 25th, I saw a topic advertising a new club for the upcoming game, Mario Strikers Charged. Excited, I clicked on this topic and found a link to the forum. Here, no body had joined yet, but I decided to wait and see, and joined anyway. I posted my first introduction I believe in the Social Board, because Evan had not created a Introduction board yet. My intro had to with something like Club Boning (yep, Club Boning, bonding with a typo xD, it was also meant as a joke 0_o).

Next day, I wake up to find this forum STILL empty. My hopes were suddenly starting to fall, I didn't want to be in a club that died before it even began. So I decided to wait one more day. I leave these forums for quite some time doing other things, and return to find this forum with NEW MEMBERS!. I was thrilled, finally someone to talk to. Those members were auto, Kameleon, luigi, dbzelement and Jamaican Funk. They too, had posted there intro's (in my topic however). I talked to them and quickly made friends with Auto and the rest of the new members. Evan, deciding that I was fit enough, decided to make me (and Auto) a mod as well. I was pretty happy (who wouldn't be..I suppose). At this point we started to advertise quite a bit on Gamefaqs. We were getting members in pretty good, and our goal was to get at least 30 members to have our first tournament (though it didn't exactly happen when we got 30 members straight away). Evan promoted me to Admin, because he needed someone to take care of the forums when he was at his dads. So, the first week that this forum is open, and I am the one left in charge of the whole forum. Everyone was talking in the Cbox (we didn't have a chatroom back then folks :D) and having a good time in general. Then, Shinobisoma came a long. He offered to improve our forum if we gave him Admin Rights. Me and Evan agreed, and he added a cool, white skin to the forum (some of you might remember :D). Not too long before I also added the mario board icons you still see today.

So, the first week came and went, we got a few more members, but the forum was starting to die down a bit in activity. I thought that was alright, first weeks are always the busiest for me I suppose :P. Evan came back from his dads, and he started posting on his forum. We advertised A LOT more (and got flamed a bit from some irritated GFAQS members) and we got some cool new members. HoopsJunky decided to join us, as well as rocafellakid (he ain't on as much anymore). Also I believe MarioBro24 came along at this point (not exactly sure). In fact we got a lot of members at this point, I just don't remember who exactly.

Anyways end of Chapter 1, will post more tommorow (if I can remember).

UPDATE: Apparently Club House Games Club is still around and kicking

Chapter 2: Supamane.

So, the forums were doing as well as ever. We were getting lots of new members, and we hadn't had one troll....yet. So anyway, Evan one day decides to dare Hoops to post on the Mario and Sonic Olympic boards advertising our board. However, one of the people there did not take this so lightly. His name was Supamane (or known as Hyper_Shado on the GFAQS boards). He decided to spam our board for advertising on another board completely irrelevant to Mario Strikers Charged. But he wasn't just your ordinary spammer, no, no he was something much worse, something much worse indeed..

The first thing he did was spam the Other board with porn pics and slurs and all of the such. The admins and mods were immediately informed, and his account was deleted, as well as the topic. However, this didn't stop him from coming back. No, he created an account under the name "Supamane 2", and came once again to spam our board. We deleted his topic once again, in which then he decided to start spamming our cbox with porn and tons of swearing. I got his IP and banned it, as well as the two names Supamane and Supamane 2. But, he was under a proxy, meaning he could change his IP easily. So he rejoined his board again and continued to harrass members over the cbox (we later figured out that you could open a window to just the cbox, making so that he could bypass the ban filter). He went over many names, too many to remember infact.

Eventually, we ended up pulling the Cbox out of the site, and he posted a few more messages on the board when we did. Those were deleted right away, and then he went away for a bit. We thought we had won...but that was not to be..

A few hours or so later, we put the Cbox back into place. It had been wiped completely, so none of Supamane's spam could be shown. It only took 20 minutes or so for Supamane to come back and once again start Harrasing members once more. At this point we started to panic, and we asked Shinobisoma for help. He couldn't do anything, except suggest to put a chatroom in place for better security (which we have today, but that didn't happen until a little while afterwards).

Eventually, Supamane decided to stop bothering us. Only a few times does he bother to visit us, but he has lost interest, and remains on the Gfaqs boards now. But not only did Supamane spammed his boards, he got a few other people banned as well (MarioBro24) because they were caught in the IP Banning Crossfire. He will be remembered as one of the most persistent trolls ever.

--

I'll write Chapter 3 tommorow. Sorry I had to dedicate a whole Chapter to Supamane :P.

Chapter 3: The Members

This chapter is dedicated to the many members of this Club. What happened between the beginning and the merge was pure bliss. Everyone was happy, and we got some awesome members. First off, Longhorns. He came here by Evan who told him about this site. Today he works as a admin and has helped the site improved quite dramatically! Then we have the senior members, luigi_cool, Kameleon808, Auto, Evan and I guess HoopsJunky :P. They have been here since the start or near the start of this forum, and have seen everything or almost everything that has gone around here. I remember the first person I talked to on this forum was Auto, which we were exchanging Wii Codes before MSC came out.

Then we got the other awesome members, such as Hyper Metal Sonic, thunderdragn, MarioBro24, rocafellakid, MaskedMuffin12 and assassinX105 (I think I am missing some). They weren't exactly here near the start (or not at all), but they are still awesome members, and are cool people to hang out with!.

And of course we've got all the other members who come here time to time (or not at all =P). Well, they are good people too see, even though some of em don't post all that much heh =D.

I realised at this point that we don't need anymore members, cause we have ourselves (though new people are still welcome, don't get me wrong lol :D).

Then we got the improvements that Longhorns made that happened around this time. He added the Arcade, The theater, the mp3 player, the chatroom etc. Without him who knows where this board would be :P (cause he's awesome).

So yeah, not much of a chapter, but it was for the members, the members who are still here today, and will probably be with us for a long time (I hope :D).

Chapter 4: The Merge

So, by this point we had changed from just a Mario Striker Club into a full fledged Wii Clan, just like the Wiicenaries. So, one day we decided that we would like to have a Friendly Match between our Club and the Wiicenaries. The leader (Shinobisoma) agrees and everything starts to get planned. However, it never happened, something else got in the way. Next morning, Ghost suggests a Merge, in which us two club/clans join together to make one big club/clan. Most members agreed to it, but there was also a big half that didn't want it. Most of the WiiC people wanted it as well, but they had fewer people who disagreed.

Then, out of the blue some of our members started getting angry, posting messages in the Chat saying No merge, while others saying Yes, Yes Merge!. It was a confusing time, we did not know what was best, merge and perhaps lose some members, or stay and not merge, but lose the opportunity of being with another club/clan, and getting more members. I was one of the few who agreed to it, while Longhorns only partially agreed (he wanted some of the WiiC Members attitudes to improve). Evan wanted to wait and see. But things went from bad to worse as we started making plans. Huge arguments erupted and people started taking sides and flaming those who they called friends. Even some members from the two club/clans were fighting against each other, whilst us admins were trying to calm everyone down and sort things out. Even a few of my friends went against me, and I was quite upset at that. I looked at what this merge could bring us, a lot more members, but at the same time it could start a large war.

Eventually soon after, Evan posted a message saying that the Merge was over. I, myself was disappointed, the possibilities that we could have had were gone, but for some this was the best thing since sliced bread. I stepped into the chatroom and I knew there were still people frustrated, and I was frustrated. So I posted a letter of resignation, and I said I left. I felt like this board was causing me more stress then actually just being a fun club. I thought it was funny how a big war of such proportion could happen in 2 days.

Soon after, members sent me emails, saying I was being missed, and to come back. So, I decided to come back (but I had thoughts of leaving again, didn't want to be in the middle of another war). But, everything got sorted out, and I got my friends back. The next day it seemed like this war never actually happened. Quite amazing, isn't it? Heh.

Chapter 5: Still Alive.

There's been a long period of time since I wrote this history so I'll try to sum it up as best as I can. Basically, at the beginning of September we thought that our site was going to die. Yes, and there was tons of people complaining about it too, so much that even Longhorns shut down the site for a period of time because of all the whining (which I agree he had some good reasons to shut down the site but all that has been fixed as of current). Our most loyal members (you know who you are ;) ) stuck with us through this time, and I thank them (they are still with us today :D). It was a tough time, the admins fought with each other, and things were looking gloomy. I had to write up about 3 rules just to calm people down and make people relax about all the fighting. I even thought at this point that the forum was on a downward spiral, and I usually never think that! Eventually everything became normal again, and the forums became less active thanks to School :(. We came on when we had time, no schedules or anything. Tournaments became less active and eventually became non existent. I was sad, to say the least. It seemed the whole purpose of making the site was crumbling down in front of us. I saw many new members just come and go, and I started to become less thrilled about getting new members. I thought "What was the point?". Advertising became near impossible, and soon everyone just stopped (while sometimes someone would try to advertise but it would never work usually).

So here we are in November, same great old community that has stuck with us since the beginning (or near-beginning), same old friends, same old family (yes, we are a family guys :P). I'm sad to say this but we are still kind of where we were in September, except we have MANY improvements to the forum (Longhorns is the man :D), making the old version of the forum obsolete to the newer version. A few new members have come here and stuck with us (thanks to you guys!), but I think no one worries about new members anymore. We have ourselves, new members are nice, but I think we can make this forum work for just us. I know this is just my opinion, and it may seem silly, I hope you understand, thats how I think nowadays. Will we die? Bah. I think we will live, we've lasted for this long, and needless to say I am proud of this forum and the people on here.

Well, thats Chapter 5. I hope one day we can see a Chapter 6, a 7 even. Meh, we should be able to :D.

Chapter 6: The New Year

So we did make it to a Chapter 6, I knew we could. Anyways, a lot of things have happened from Chapter 5 to now. We got a jukebox put in place under our cbox, Hyper Metal Sonic introduced our first Legion of Wii podcast, thunderdragn brought us the first issue of Legion of Wii Gaming Monthly, a magazine which he and the LoW community created, and more!. This month was a good month for Legion of Wii members (december and the end of november of course!). A big announcement from Longhorns15 announced the new arrival of the Zetaboards version of LoW, which is basically an enhanced version of the site we have now, and the site in which we will move to permanently eventually.

All and all, not much to put in this chapter. We've also started helping the ACWW community out by bricking seeders and working together with other anti seeder sites. We've got new members and new features such as Blogs (by Longhorns15 of course) and Leaderboards (Longhorns15 and MaskedMuffin). The awards system has been introduced as well, allowing for members to show off and get awards based on various tasks.

This month of December, probably the biggest announcement came when we broke our goal of 10 000 posts and 200 members in one day! The reaction was huge and congratulations went all around, lots of hard work paying off finally!.

All in all, this is pretty much what happened in December. Yes, nothing dramatic or anything this month. Make sure to pick up a copy of thunderdragn's magazine, and listen to HMS's podcast, as well as read the announcements board for more info on this month's history.

Stay tuned for more info on the transition to Zetaboards next month! I will be doing special coverage on it! Oh and, Happy new year! Lets make the new year, Legion of Wii's year.

Chapter 7: A New Age?

Before I write this chapter, I have to say the conversion has not occurred yet unfourtently, so it will probably happen next month. Sorry!

Anyways this chapter is dedicated to our leader. Everything was good after the New year, we were all hanging out, getting LOTS of new members and overall feeling pretty good. We were preparing for the Brawl Launch, setting events up such as the Month of Brawl and bringing tournaments back to life again.

It was a normal. Feburary afternoon, when Evan and td were having a conversation. Out of the blue, Evan decides to make a racist remark, and afterwards, go nuts. The victim, was deeply offended and the problem was brought to the other admins. I was the first admin to witness, and in time Longhorns15 was informed. He was the judge and the situation became favorable in thunderdragn's direction. All of a sudden, Evan starts swearing and telling everyone to STFU and such. I lose my admin privileges , and leave from his outburst (for a brief period). Eventually, everyone gets really mad at Evan, which only strengthens his rage.
I come back to find the boards still in a furious battle. Eventually, Evan leaves and he was I.P Banned....

But not for long. Evan convinces Hoops to bring his account back to life again and switch the password (the password was switched on Evan's account). He comes back, and in a fury, practically deletes the whole site. The whole community was left stranded, and we set up a temporary board to get everyone back together and to discuss what would happen next. Eventually, A Random Person comes along and with his help, we got this site working again, and Evan banned for good!. Later, Evan stated on another board that he felt bad afterwards for what he had done, but nevertheless felt he had to do it. He says that he will not be coming to these boards, forever.

--

Stay tuned for the next chapter! Oh, and it says I am unregistered because my account was accidently deleted in the events of Chapter 7 (LH accidently deleted my account :P)

Hey its Nudi here taking the place of Nova as the updater of LoW's History. A lot has happened since last update. Well here it goes! :P
--------------

Chapter 8: Remnants

Three long months have past since the Evan incident, which brought hell to this board, literally. During these months that have past, the board has suffered from many changes. Most notably the decision to make this board a"democracy". No longer would the Root admin be doing the tough decisions and as voted by all members, all admins would have equal power in their decision making.

On March the board received a make over (the current skin) given by Thunderdragn all in hopes of making Legion of Wii a new and more accesible, better place. Following the Skin change there were doubts on who would put up the new LoW banner and what it should have. There were many candidates who would post their banners up and people would vote. One thing led to another and a banner made by Seraphy was put up as the official LoW banner. LongHorns (LH), the current Root Admin at the time ranted on how the banner was put up without the consent of all members, something a democracy should show. LH could not stand the fact that he felt TD's decision to put up this new banner was pure favoritism and nothing else, and everything just build up to a point in which he was forced to make one of his toughest decisions; Leave LoW hoping for a better future in his school activities and in his personal life. I still dont know if he left on good terms with everyone as this is the way the whole story was given to me. This left LoW without a Root Administrator.

Following the departure of LH there was a big dispute over how this place would continue being and what should happen in the event that the conversion ( :P yes it still hasnt happened XD) arrived seeing as we need the root admins code for it to happen or something like that. Without knowing what to do, the remaining and recently awarded admins HMS and Thunderdragn along with old admin Novaflame decided to put LoW offline, for the 3th time, and start anew.

At the time MaskedMuffin along with TD decided to start from scratch and so Eternus Gamers was formed. Eternus Gamers was a place for people who were from LoW could find a second home, lets put it that way. As specified by Maskedmuffin this was not meant to be LoW 2 this was a new board with new ideas and proposals. This broke the group into two. On one side we had the people who wanted a change from LoW. On the other we had those who wanted to stay and keep LoW going. HMS contacted LH and was given the password to serve as temporal Root admin. That meant LoW was up and running AGAIN :P But here is were everything gave an unexpected turn of events. Everyone left Eternus gamers and returned to LoW. Apparently this upset Maskedmuffin and decided to leave (as stated in his farewell topic). It was all normal and everyone accepted his departure. Yet on the chatroom it seems he got in a fight with everyone and went ballistic. On his farewell topic he updated it ( XD i know) and basicaly wrote things that offended many of LoW's members. This was a call for Bannage by the admins and he was banned from LoW. As for Novaflame he had already planned to leave LoW many times before but he stayed for a lot of reasons but when he saw that things werent the same he left and HMS and TD remained as sole dictato--- ahem admins XD

A month after this incident Two new members have been promoted to admin status: Eaglez and Young. Few new members have also joined LoW and have incorporated~ as Nova would have called it ~ into LoW's "family"

------
this is it, the latest chapter of LoW's History. Disclaimer: this is from what i have learned from other members and bits of what i saw during the chatroom and board. if anything seems wrong/farfetched please tell me and i'll gladly change it for you.

Until the next chapter! =D

Yo! NovaFlame is back as editor of the history. Here's chapter 9!

Chapter 9: Zetaboards

Took long enough, eh? Well, after about a 3 month break I returned to the boards and resumed my position of Administrator once again around June 17 of 2008. However, there was something different. On May 2008, the board officially changed from IF to Zeta, through a conversion process. You may recall me saying WAAAY back in December about this conversion, but it did not happen until recently. It has been a busy time for LoW, as we have been scrambling for new skins, new logo's, and new scripts for our forums. As of June 20 2008 the Logo's and Skins have been put back in place, but we are still looking for more script's.

Anyways, the period between me leaving and now has been rather uneventful otherwise. We have been graced by Mario Kart Wii, and now have a new database for that up. Thunderdragn, one of our admins has left to pursue new projects, but otherwise it has much been the same. We also have a new website up, that corresponds with our forums. More work might be done on it soon. HMS has also launched a new newspaper (something like TD's LoW monthly gaming magazines) and is currently in the process of working on them.

But otherwise, nothing major has happened. We are approaching LoW's anniversary very fast however (July 25th 2008). Many things will happen around this time, and next chapter all of those things will be covered in great detail. Stay tuned!

Chapter 10: Continuity
--

Wow, going back into LoW's history i can see its been a while since last chapter and many few important things have happened, so here we go!

Its been a rough time here at LoW but it all sorted out for the better and now we are proud to say we are 1 year (and a half :P ) old and were still going with full force. Thats right, on June 25, 2008 LoW got its first candle in the cake! and i dont care if its a lying one a real one or fake one but we are proud that this community although not big is still on moving forward. How many times have we witness sites that after 3 or 4 months, they go offline forever. sure we did went offline (3 times xD ) but we didnt lose hope and we perseveered all the way and look at it now! We are closing in on the 35,000 post mark anytime now! congrats to all who made it possoble :D and with 350 members...(yeah yeah we know about that :P ) Lets try and shoot for the 50,000 mark post now and into the 2nd (hopeful) anniversary of LoW. Some brand new faces have joined our "family" some returned and some have left but with everyones help that goal will be met!

Along with the anniversary of LoW HMS proudly introduced The Official "Wi-fi" nights in September. it started with a blast with many members competing against each other full on for a while anyways >.>. Not only that, I have (and proudly) brought back to LoW the Official 2nd Annual (='.'=) CHIWIWICH!!! Tournament (you guys knew i was gonna do it :P ) the only yearly prized competion we have in LoW today. Many have joined and only one will win, and if im nice even two will! its December now and i can hope for the second Christmas we have here to be a happy and peaceful one were everyone here can stop fighting and be united like a family on this holidays (<-- quote gotten off a xmas book ;) ) but i really mean it. I want us to have a great Christmas and hopefully a Great New Years all leading us into the hopeful 2nd Anniversary of LoW. that seems to be most of what has happened on this long 5 months.

see ya soon until the 50,000th mark for our next chapter!!! :D

------------------

2nd year anniversary (blackwind)

So after a long 5 or so months where very little happened ( a few new members came along but didn’t really post much) along came the second year anniversary, and with it, the release of HVS’s CThe Conduit. At this point, while a lot of our members were still alive and well, we had lost a few because of inactivity (R.I.P. Nova, Young, DTZ, etc…). Our admin HMS sent out a big “get your ass back here” email to all the members, but only Mastersora showed up for the tournaments. Speaking of tournaments, we hosted four… One for Bomberman, one for Brawl, one for Mario Kart, and (coming up soon) one for Conduit. Our forum activity increased a fair amount (The anniversary and lack of school) and our newest members, Whoot and Ivan, joined. MB rambled about Resident evil and Guilty Gear, HMS and LH talked about ninja carrots, Chao said something retarded that nobody paid any attention to, and Omarlobo munched on Blackwind’s wiener. Wait what?
That’s pretty much all of LoW’s history for a while, members came and went, and people talked about stuff. We played games, and chatted about nothing as LoW does. Check back later for a new chapter!

Chapter 11: Standing Tall

Legion of Wii is still standing tall! Congratulations to us and Legion of Wii for this board has reached 2 years of age! There have been epic lulz, laggtastic wifi matches, sad moments, tragedies, happy moments, epic trollings. One example was the prank made by The-Pulse, our Great Admin HMS, and Omar gave to the members of LoW. Omar pretended to have gone nuts after HMS told him Nintendo didn't care about Oexico and that they were lazy (xD) at which time Omar was an admin. so he decided to turn the site into chaos a la Evan style. He turned LoW into a Fro frenzy and some fros still remain. LH irate at this was about to IP ban Omar when all was revealed to be a prank. but enough of that, were still here and nothing will change that. Looking at the history i seriously thought we would cave in and get disbanded a number of times throughout these two long years, i mean it actually happened twice! xD but it doesnt matter, they say that the first few years are the toughest ones but after that, its a comfortable ride down the mountain. i hope they (who is they anyways xD) are right, because if nothing, this second year has been the toughest one to overcome.

But it doesn't matter now. The two goals set 9 months ago have been achieved and it couldn't have been done if it weren't for you, yes you our dear reader and member of LoW, who even after two years of hardships, you're still here standing tall with us and everyone else. We at Legion of Wii can't thank you enough for making Legion of Wii what it is today. Whether you feel you don't post often or that you could do better at posting more, it doesn't matter even if its one post a day, you have contributed enough to make Legion of Wii Proud to say that we have reached the 50,000 post mark! it may sound like not much compared to other places, but for us, its a very high mark! xD

Not only have we achieved our 50,000th post goal, there have been many new exciting things going on Legion of Wii for this last past 9 months. I cant believe im saying this but for the first time an activity pertaining to all users has lasted more then 3 weeks! xD yes thats right our great Admin, HyperMetalSonic, introduced us to the first ever Legion of Wii Movie Nights! Yeah! Every weekend everyone joins to part take in the most exciting thing to come to LoW since, well, ever! and come in the chatroom to enjoy a full motion picture brought to you by his truly HMS. its has been going strong for two months now! ( i bet you didnt feel them did ya? ;) ) and this month promises to be best yet since October can only mean one thing... but that, THAT is a surprise and its coming soon to the chatroom theater. (sorry no Freaky Friday guys) >:]

Its close to the end of 2009 and that only means new games new adventures and new gifts from my man santa, who i might add owes me a lot. xD Anyways, there are a lot of new and exciting things coming soon to LoW. But until then let us keep celebrating our two years and a half of Legion of Wii action and lets cherish what we have created for the past two years, for this tight community but most of all for Legion of Wii.

Until next time Farewell.

I was member 20, so I came before the 30 member point in the book. Pretty interesting. Although the first half seemed to be a biography of yourself. :P What's chapter 2 going to be about?
