I do own 2 shinys in my fr/lg version. sharpedo and odish. sucky pokemon I know. Im afraid to evolve them because what if the turn un-shiny. that would suck. btw, sharpedo is from ruby.

Olivine City Gym Leader Jasmine Posts: 241 Group: Johto Trainer Member #134 Joined: June 28, 2006	hmm so you can catch one of the three dogs upon completion of the league i guess thats another reason for me too search for raikou if people dont know heres what you get if you start with Charmander - you will find suicune squirtle- you will find raikou bulbasaur- you will find entei oh no it wont go unshiny remember i talked about how i caught a feebas shiny its now a milotic and its still the same. besides the best thing if your unsure is to save your game evolve it and if it turns for the worse turn i off.

O.o Shiny Charizard is black, and Shiny Kyogre is pink (but, thankfully, it's more purple, than pink). The only shiny pokemon I've ever seen and caught in FR was... Machop. He looks kinda weird with his alternate colours set. He's on level 19, waiting for further training.

Attempt to obtain a shiny starter at the beginning of the game would mean hours spent on restarting, reloading, loading... I'm not into it. But having a shiny starter from the beginning can be fun.

I don't doubt that you can still catch a shiny legendaries in R/S/E/FR/LG, since one Polish player caught a shiny Rayquaza in Emerald. FR/LG is basically the same system.

I saved my game being located next to Lugia and I have been encountering him and reloading save all over and over till i've encountered a shiny Lugia. Took me about six hours (quite fast compared to records from IGN boards, excluding extremely lucky situations such as encountering a shiny legendary pokemon after 2nd or 3rd or even after 23rd reload), but it was worth that.
