So the first week of school for cool college kids is over (and second week has begun), how was it? I scored just on the cusp of being advised to drop to a lower Chem class (so dropping from the epic difficulty one to the one that is only difficult). My class has the leader of the atheists and skeptics club in it. He keeps talking to me because he wants me to go to the club but I can't since I have Math during that time. Our first lab was how to use Microsoft Excel. Seriously. I'm also taking College Algebra. So below Calculus. The teacher is cool, but I always get tired at 3pm, and the class starts at 3pm. I've already fallen asleep once, but the homework load appears lighter than my Stats class which is good take it I have DEATH CHEM. I also have biology. The majority of my class in nursing students and they found out I intend to major in Bio so they all think I know everything already. It could be because I doodle in class since he started with Ecology which is a class I already took. Also my friend was the only one who didn't get into the class that showed up with registering (out of five people). He was also the only guy on that list. Then I have political science. The class is more conservative than liberal which scares me take it I live in Sonoma county which voted at or higher than 70% for Obama. Comparative Politics seems like it will get interesting once the people who seem to have the intellect of the town hall health care marauders shut up and we finally define a ****ing region. Oh, and people handing out bibles. Everywhere. I lost my Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster so I couldn't have fun with that. I resorted to asking why they always feel pity on people who don't believe in god and I didn't get an answer. There was also a poster up all week run by the Varsity Christian club asking 'do you believe in god?' Yes was winning overwhelmingly, I voted no and talked to the guy running it for a bit and then again the next few days. He seems kinda cool and doesn't mind that I trolled him by saying I believe in the Invisible Pink Unicorn. And almost every break I have I have friends who also have breaks which is awesome except now I'll have less time to do homework. But hanging out with friends, which is awesome. |

If I'm being honest - It doesn't sound as bad as some people's schedules that graduated from my highschool in the past two years. Theirs are insane. haha. Right now I've already got English 101 passed and am working on 102 and Calculus. |

I don't think you understand my chemistry workload. YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND MY CHEMISTRY WORKLOAD. YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND. IT IS SO SCARY I DON'T EVEN... But seriously, its huge. 4 hours of reading for labs + 2 pre-labs a week 2 lab reports a week large amounts of textbook reading online hw assignments of currently unknown quantity |

I have about three tests or so coming up this week; psychology, history and government. I'm way behind on my history readings though. D: |

Back. So about dropping chemistry (turns out i also had to do the textbook reading...) in favor of stupid chem. Currently doing: College Algebra - B Comparative Government - A Introduction to Biology - B (on the cusp of an A though) Introduction to Chemistry - C (He grades VERY strictly, so when I misread/basic addition/subtraction errors on the math portion even though I solved the equation right I got a 0, which dropped me from an A to a C). Critical Thinking - A (I hate this teacher so much though...) |
