Just got 156 again. The default, lightest ball seems to give the best results for me. |

So the game might be a bit too simplistic for this, but.... Any tips? |

The only tips I can give are the physicis on this are quite good, Pins in ten pin bowling only need to tilt something like 5-10 degrees to topple because of their design. Think about where you hit the pins before you make a shot For example, a perfect strike ball in reality should leave the 5 pin ( middle) standing its an element of the'exlposion' of thepins that allows you to get the strike each time The best advice I can give is to approach it like a pool shot, how would you break in pool.. same kind of logic applies here 245 Edited by Invisible, Sep 27 2009, 10:10 PM.

165 Moving a little to the left, hitting the aim button just before it hits the centre, and goinig for full power seems to be paying dividends. |

Mame throws up file not found error messages - the ROM seems to be incomplete. |

Try downloading the ROM again, just in case yours was corrupted in transit. I got mine from romnation. |

I'm assuming that the lighter balls respond more to spin. Is this correct? I tend to prefer the heavier balls myself. |

I'll have a look for alternative roms tonight - can one of you let me know what the actual error message displayed is - missing roms ? / bad checksum / etc ? |

Okay i downloaded MAME 0.133 from here : http://filepig.org/download/mame_0.133/ The Neo Geo rom from here : http://www.romnation.net/srv/download/rom/57044/mame103/Neo-Geo.html The League bowling rom from here : http://www.romnation.net/srv/roms/56638/mame103/League-Bowling.html Ran the mame exe to extract to a new directory - dropped the two roms into the rom folder and started mame with mame lbowling Got error messages about missing sfix.fix files - googled and found this page : http://www.mlanime.com/forums/showthread.php?p=29928 Which pointed me to this alternative neo-geo download http://www.filetycoon.com/file/113-neogeo-zip.html Dropped that into the Rom folder and it started up fine (complained that some of the checksums dont match but the game starts and plays fine). Can someone whos having problems try adding this neo-geo file to their roms folder (back your other one up first) and see if that fixes it ? |

Hoorah - The alternative Neo-geo rom did nothing, however when I used the download from romnation the thing fired up, although I'm sure I tried that before. Oh well, it works Cheers zaphod
