Not Going on holiday. Again.

BBC4 are running a series of programmes looking back on computer / electronic technology used in the 70's, the 80's and 90's. They're running a series of shows, a couple look quite interesting; Electric Dreams - a family must live with the technology from 1970, and then move forward a year a day (so by Friday of the 1st week they will be living with tech from 1975), right through to the 1990s Micro Men - a special comedy drama with Alex Armstrong (Armstrong and Millar) & Martin Freeman (Hitchhiker's, the Office) looking back at the birth of the British home computer revolution - with Armstrong playing Clive Sinclair! http://www.bbc.co.uk/tv/features/electricrevolution/ - the programs start today Edited by Kaiserpc, Sep 28 2009, 11:07 AM.

He used to write game reviews for PC Zone, and the "living room" set for Screenwipe/Newswipe included lots of gaming peripherals (and he'd frequently make references to games as well). Gameswipe was good, loved the guest slots especially Consolevania, and a shame it's not getting a series. |

It was excellent casting and two very good central performances. Alright, there were a few inaccuracies, but it told the story very well. |

I am so pleased to learn that the pub fight and Sinclair's battle cry of "You fucking buggering shit-bucket!" are all historically correct I want to see it again now..
