Hi All :Hello:

I was told about the site by a guy called Peter who I met in Bakewell (orange Kawasaki IIRC).

Although I now live near Bakewell (Winster), I'm from Ashby de la Zouch originally and know South Derbyshire very well. In fact I'll be in the area a lot over the next few weeks, so hope to make it to the Vic soon.

I passed my direct access just over 6 years ago, and have in that time ridden a Yamaha Fazer 600 right up until 6 weeks ago when I got a Honda CBR600RR (2003 model).

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Cheers
Andy

Hi Peter

Track day (Ron Haslam race school) was great thanks. The only down side for me was the number of "Elite" courses on the track at the same time, meaning that we had to move over for them all of the time. This meant that it was only a few laps on our final session that we got a few really fast uninterrupted laps where we could take every appex. A bit frustrating (but I'll never forget those few laps!!).

Also I didn't get my knee down :No If I can't do it at the Melbourne hairpin, when will it happen?! Looking forward to the photo's arriving so I can see how close I was (assuming that the photos were taken when we actually got to take an appex!)

When I'm working in Ashby I won't have internet access. If I private message you my mobile number could you drop me a text when there is a meet at the Vic please? (or are they a regular day/time?) Looking forward to meeting you all for a drink :cheers (although I never touch alcohol when on the bike, find it hard enough to balance without!!)

Cheers
Andy

Hey Dazza

Lots of people from Ashby slate the place, but usually they haven't lived anywhere else! It's still "home" to me. Looking at your profile you're more likely to know my younger brother Giles than me, look forward to meeting you though.

Thanks for the info on the Darley Dale school :Up , I've asked for details to be posted to me. Sounds a lot better value than the Haslam one to be honest, but doubt Mrs Clap will let me fork out for another course for a while :naughty !!

Cheers
Andy
