We have discussed for some time now in the Council requiring higher standards for promotions, especially for higher ranks. After last month’s oustanding accomplishments made by those that were all promoted to Ancient, we see that this is not asking too much for members to achieve such level of activity. The policy for promotions will be as follows: During the month prior to promotions, the following MINIMUM requirements must be made: Young Dragon & Adult – 2 events; 4 posts; 10 activity points The following are considered the recommended requirements for promotion to the ranks of Elder, Ancient, and Wyrmling. Elder Dragon – 4 events; 25 posts; 40 activity points Ancient Dragon – 6 events; 40 posts; 60 activity points Plus: 1) part of a team or helped out a team at the very least (any team): this can be writing guides, hosting events, welcoming and showing new members around etc. 2) shown maturity and leadership (to be determined by the GW and/or Wyrm council) 3) consistency of the above activity for 2 months in a row (This means you will not be promoted to rank of Ancient one month after you became an Elder.) Wyrmling – 8 events; 50 posts; 80 activity points Plus: 1) part of a team or helped out a team at the very least (any team): this can be writing guides, hosting events, welcoming and showing new members around etc. 2) shown maturity and leadership (to be determined by the GW and/or Wyrm council 3) consistency of the above activity for at 3 months in a row In addition to the above said RECOMMENDED REQUIREMENTS, any exceptional behavior and effort in the clan will be considered to negate some of the recommended requirements. Example: If someone is on three teams, helping others, posting guides, and is generally a good person who can't be active in game, there will be special consideration given. But there will be NO PROMOTION for anyone unless they meet the minimum 2 event/4post monthly requirement. There is NO EXCUSE not to make 2 events per month considering you can host impromptu events no matter what your time zone is. To answer your questions, where do activity points come from? If you attend the required events and make the required posts, you will have little trouble meeting to activity points needed. If you are an active and helpful member on the forums...and not just in the game, you will gain points. BUT MOST IMPORTANT: RAWR and SPAM posts do NOT count toward your post count nor add to activity points. Mollygremlyn on behalf of the GW/Wyrm Council Edited by Mollygremlyn, Sep 5 2009, 11:59 PM.
