The Carling Cup final (as we all know) is the lesser of the 3 English domestic competitions but its a trophy and we're only one game away from getting our hands on it. A trophy is something thats been a long time coming (nine years infact) however we've all believed we are capable of achieving and WILL achieve success in the relative near future since BMJ got us to within a whisker of Champions League football at the end of the 2005/6 season. Is today the day we've waited for these past 9 years? As there are already a couple Carling Cup related threads so far on 101, I'm posting the links to them here for you as a reference but please keep any further comments on the final here, so as not to confuse the issue too much. But if Ramos & co can make the Spurs side believe we can win, that is the hard part done. IMO, all he has to do is put on the video of the semi final game from the Lane. And that's all the motivation we need. I'm going for a 2-1 win to Spurs. Possibly AET. Lampard to open the scoring for the Blue Scum. Lennon and Keano to seal the win for Spurs. COYS!!!

Chelscum will be throwing players forward to try to even things up - we'll hit them on the break mid-way into the 2nd half - 2-0! Late consolation for them. We win, King lifts the cup, we all get pi$$ed & suffer tomorrow, whilst being smug in the knowledge that we won the Battle of London & that all the red pkeys & blue chaves will change alliegences to ManUre.

I hope we do it for Ramos, Ledders, the fans, all the 101ers and for every fan of real football! (oh, and for me). If we do, I think feb '08 could go down as the greatest month of my life!
