Spurs Fans Backlash Over New Kit

Spurs-uber-nerd Posts: 1,600 Group: Super User Member #260 Joined: 14-July 06	Daily Mail Tottenham fans have launched an attack on the club's new kit. The north London side unveiled its latest white home shirt this week, complete with an odd mustard V across the chest. Disgruntled Spurs fans have now set up a petition against the new strip and hundreds have added their name in protest against the launch. The club unveiled no fewer than three new kits for the forthcoming season - and their fans are facing a streak of yellow peril as well as a costly trip to the club shop. The strips, manufactured by Puma, represent the three core club colours of white, blue and yellow, according to the club's publicity material. The new home kit - predominantly white but with yellow flashes - will be worn for the first time for Spurs' match against Barcelona in the Wembley Cup next month. Wembley will also showcase the new yellow third strip in the match against Celtic, with the navy away kit worn for the first time at White Hart Lane in the pre-season friendly against Olympiakos in August. I know they have to make the kits a bit different so that supporters need to buy the new ones, but I'm quite sure they could have gone with a nice mixture of white with blue highlights and vice versa.

If we were to win anything this year, that kit is going to go end up being a part of our history that we cant hide in the cupboard under the stairs, next to Rubys cage. It'll be there....forever. And the bigger the comp win, the more notable the kit will become too. It'll be hanging in the Spurs shop forever, instead of the excess stock being out the back and burnt at the end of the season. (Hopefully we get to play Leeds or Fulham or someone else in white and we choose to play in yellow) Hang on .....................we have to win something first. Am I thinking about this too hard? I need another panadol!

I'll give you a bit of free advice before heading to Ann Arbor (the next ones gonna cost you).......the color is "maize" in Ann Arbor, not yellow....you may get throttled if you refer to it as "yellow".....remember Maize & Blue! I'd also note that I've NEVER liked the white with maize Michigan uniforms. They look too wimpy and washed out for me. I like something with some contrast or a solid white. If the "V" was blue, I would probably like it much more than the yellow. However, your point is well taken.

League Cup Winner Posts: 1,022 Group: Super User Member #662 Joined: 10-November 06	To be honest I am not bothered I am not that keen on it so I wont buy it but we have had other kits I havent liked like the one we won the 91 cup final in the one with Thompson on as long as we have white shirts navy shorts and white socks I don't care I am more peeed off about having red on our shirts than yellow bloody mansion
